Last week,Epic Gamesintroduced some brand-new features toFortnitewith the specialAvatar: The Last Airbendercollaboration event. Alongside a plethora of exclusive quests and cosmetic items, Fortnite players were also treated to new elemental abilities.
In total, there are four physical elements for Fortnite players to master. Waterbending will hurl sharp, icy projectiles at opponents, whilst also restoring health when in water. Earthbending can summon large chunks of earth to hurl at enemies. Firebending will send arcs of flames hurtling toward your opponents. And, finally, Airbending allows players to use the air around them to traverse across the map in different ways.
Fortnite Players Exploited A Glitch To Obtain Free Skins, Now They’re In V-Bucks Debt
Xbox users were reportedly exploiting a refund method that allowed them to get “free” skins, but it seems to have backfired.
While you’ve likely been using these epic elemental abilities to defeat your enemies, one player has discovered that there appears to be a glitch involving one of the four new elements, allowing players to reboot their fallen teammates without the pesky waiting time.
Fortnite’s Elemental Abilities Come With A Handy Glitch
Over on the Fortnite Competitive subreddit,Reddit user AxzoYTshared a handy new bug that is sure to be patched in a future update, so make the most of it while you still can.
In the clip, which we’ve included below, the player can be seen using the Airbending ability whilst rebooting their fallen teammate at a reboot van. Usually, you’d be stood around waiting for a few seconds if you wanted to reboot your teammate. The van would be blaring every horn under the sun, and you’d be alerting all of the surrounding enemies to your location.
But it’s clear that Epic has a pretty serious bug on its hands thanks to the new elemental abilities, as there was no wait time and no alert from the reboot van.
To replicate this bug, the user says you “just have to spam your interact key while airbending” to get the instant reboot. They also noted that they discovered this last week when the Avatar collaboration was released and is surprised that no other players have noticed it.
But since the user has now posted the glitch to Reddit, it likely won’t be long until Epic Games patches this glaring bug. Jump in and get those insta-reboots while you still can.
