Ubisoft’s free-to-play first-person shooter,XDefiant, was released on the 21st of May for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Gamers have been sharing their feedback regarding various aspects of the game since launch, and recently their complaints center around the Intel Suit.

Players have been regularly asking for the Intel Suit ability to be nerfed in XDefiant.

According to a growing number of fans, the Intel Suit is ruining the game experience, making it insufferable to play against teams using it. The frustration is real, and Ubisoft needs to listen up.

The Intel Suit is Seemingly Overpowered in XDefiant

The Intel Suit ability gives players a massive advantage, allowing them to see enemy positions in real time. This means if you’re up against a team of three or more people running Intel Suits, you’re at a severe disadvantage. Every corner becomes a potential death trap, and the fun quickly drains out of the game. If there’s multiple opponents using this ability in the other game, then it becomes all that much worse of an experience.

The presence of the Intel Suit changes how people play the game. Instead of engaging in thrilling firefights or focusing on objectives, players areforced into a much more defensive playstyle. Playing the objective becomes a nightmare because you’re always within the range of an Intel Suit. This overpowered feature means players can’t enjoy the game as it was meant to be played. It’s no wonder that many fans are voicing their concerns about this issue on theXDefiantsubreddit.

The game has been going strong since its release.

To understand just how bad theXDefiantIntel Suit is, let’s compare it to other games. InCall of Duty, the UAV killstreak reward gave players the advantage of seeing enemy positions, but only on the minimap, and that too temporarily. There’s the snapshot grenade in the latestModern Warfarereboot games, but they only last a few seconds, in a rather small radius. The Intel Suit inXDefiant,on the other hand, can be used multiple times in a match, giving teams a big advantage.

Tweaking the Intel Suit’s Power and Recharge Time Could Be a Solution

The problem here is balance. In most multiplayer shooter games, developers strive to create a balancedplaying field. Overpowered features or abilities disrupt this balance, leading to a frustrating and unfair experience. The Intel Suit does just that.

Although the game is more casual-focused and doesn’t have skill-based matchmaking in its casual playlists, this is still something that a lot of players are finding extremely frustrating and are asking Ubisoft to make certain tweaks to make it more fair and balanced for everyone. This could mean reducing its range, limiting its usage time, or reworking how it functions entirely.

While the Intel Suit is the main gripe, it’s not the only issue plaguingXDefiant.Players have also pointed out problems like bunny hopping and overpowered snipers. Bunny hopping makes it hard to hit targets, adding another layer of frustration. Overpowered snipers can take you out from across the map with ease, further disrupting the balance.
