An official hashtag was also shared on Twitter:#ハガレン20周年/Hagaren20thAnniversary.Hagarenbeing the abbreviation of the Japanese name ofFMA,Hagane no Renkinjutsushi. Anofficial pagewas also opened. Right now it’s in teaser mode and only states “coming soon”.

The event will feature the seiyuu of Edward and Alphonse Elric: Romi Park and Rie Kugimiya. The event’s MC will be MC goat Chiaki Matsuzawa, which you should know from Atlus' streams most notably. She was also on the latestTales of Arisestream. It’ll be held on YouTube:

FMAnew project coming at the event?

As far as I know there is no guarantee a new “project” will be announced. The Japanese press release for theFMA20th anniversary states the event will look back on theFullmetal Alchemistseries, and “unveil some brand new information”.

The most likely scenario is that a broad “Fullmetal Alchemist20th anniversary project” will be announced, with new events, goods, collabs, and perhaps some anime project down the line. But I personally doubt we’ll see any concrete anime project being detailed at the event.

The Shonen Gangan Twitter is also counting down to the event:

New manga byFMAmangaka Hiromu Arakawa

A new manga by Hiromu Arakawa is teased in this month’s issue of Shonen Gangan. While the magazine releases the 12th, the teaser page was leaked beforehand and shared on Korean siteRuliweb. The magazine also already officially confirmed that this month’s issue has special news that fans of Hiromu Arakawa wouldn’t want to miss. So the leak is real.

The visual feature Japan-like aesthetics. What seems to be the protagonist looks to be an androgynous boy using bows to fight. In the background, you can also spot two beastmen. Which seems to indicate this will be a manga series with a Japan x fantasy setting. Note that the series has no title revealed yet.

We’ll be sure to tell you what happens at the FMA event so stay tuned on DualShockers. You can also reach out to me on Twitter@A_iyane07to chat about anime and stuff, like how the originalFMAanime beforeBrotherhoodwas actually good too.
