While every character in the game has the ability to be a more physical-focused or magic-focused character, Tifa is one that leans more towards using Physical attacks. The Crystal Gloves do offer a large boost in magic damage but greatly hold back her Physical damage, which she normally excels in.
The ability Unfettered Fury does add non-elemental magic to basic attacks, but this won’t hit an enemy’s weakness, which is one of the best party about magic attacks. Ultimately, these gloves hold Tifa back from being one of the better characters in the party.

A Good Attempt At A Balanced Build
The Jarngreipr offers a decent physical damage boost, along with some magic. These gloves suffer from trying to be more balanced but ultimately fall flat in both forms of damage. Tifa’s base magic is too low to become powerful, and these gloves' investment in her magic is not nearly enough.
The ability True Strike does mix well with her usual playstyle and can be worked well into combos to further try and stagger an enemy. While this ability is powerful, other abilities also accomplish the same goal but much better.

The Tiger Fangs suffer from the same issue as the Jarngreiper but make more of an investment in her magic to make it efficient. With the Magic damage, using her to strike a weakness and then follow up with basic attacks to Stagger an enemy makes for an effective combo.
The ability Chi Trap is what further sets these gloves above the Jarngreiper in that it helps control the battlefield a bit more. As Tifa fights up close with an enemy, the Chi Trap is great for covering her sides and protecting other enemies from interrupting a devastating combo.
