Final Fantasy 16encourages you to embark on new Design Drafts in order to craft morepowerful weaponsand accessories as gameplay advances. Naturally, the fights get more challenging as the story progresses, which is why it’s advised to craft thebest defenses, including the Ouroboros Belt.

Since the Ouroboros Belt is thought to beone of the best belts in Valisthea, the items needed to craft the accessory require a bit of effort on your part to obtain. Here’s how to unlock and craft the Ouroboros Belt.

How To Unlock & Craft The Ouroboros Belt

to unlock the Ouroboros Design Draft, you will first need tocomplete the Blacksmith’s Blues III side quest— available afterBlacksmith’s Blues Iand II are finished. This mission unlocks after theLike Father, Like Daughtersub-quest during the A Song of Hope main mission.

After the Blacksmith’s Blues III side quest is complete, you’ll obtain the Ouroboros Design Draft, and acquiring this will also unlockTheSons of Ouroboros vambraces.

Stats of the Ouroboros belt

The Ouroboros Belt has a level 5 rarity with32 HP and a staggering 95 Defense, accompanied by the following description:

“So shall the end feed a new beginning.“Having found this leather belt adorned with the ancient seal of the Devourer of Worlds, your search for the perfect waistwear is over. Or has it just begun?

Ouroboros cannot be reinforced;however, it can be reforged to gain ahigher 70 HP and a welcomed 170 Defense, which will come in handy during the game’s events in theKingdom of Waloed.

Go and visit Blackthorne at The Black Hammer in The Hideaway, and you’ll notice that the Ouroboros Belt requires three items in order to craft it:

Once these items are obtained, you can return to Blackthorne and craft the belt.

The only way you’ll be able to obtain these three items is by hunting and slaying Notorious Marks viaNektar’s Hunt Board.

How To Get A Stone Tongue

The first item,Stone Tongue, is part of the level 40 creatureAgni, andyou must slay this Notorious Markin order to collect the crafting material.

This Akashic beast is unlocked aftertriggering the Brotherhood main quest, and you must have access to Waloed via the Footfalls in Ash main quest. Agni can be found inHalfcombe within Waloed, dwelling in a small arena north of The Edge of Infinity Obelisk.

The creature’s Collider attack can be avoided by dodging its three rolls and body slam, and its subsequent Firewater attack will not touch you if you hug the creature’s side and move with it as it rotates.

Defeating Agni will reward you with8000 EXP, 100 Ability Points, 15500 Gil, and 35 Renown, plus the Stone Tongue, which has a level 4 rarity and a selling price of 2500 Gil.

How To Get A Comet Feather

The second item, Comet Feather, can only be collected bydefeating the level 38 and Rank A Notorious Mark,Dread Comet— riffing off the infamous Red Chocobos of theFinal Fantasy series.

Dread Comet can be found withinThe Sickle of the Dhalmekian Republicafter completing the A Song of Hope main quest, and the fastest way to get there is by using theDravozd Obelisk.

This nemesis does not have a Will Gauge andcannot be staggered, which means using continuous attacks, like Ifrit’s Will-o-the-Wykes, will be helpful. The Choco Meteor attack is especially dangerous when the Mark’s HP is low, as the intensity rises, and these can be avoided by dodging the fire rings that appear on the ground.

Once Dread Comet is defeated, you will be rewarded with5300 EXP, 90 Ability Points, 13000 Gil, 30 Renown, and one Comet Feather, which has a level 3 rarity and a 1500 Gil selling price.

How To Get An Orichalcum

Lastly, the Orichalcum can be gathered by defeating any one of the following S-Rank Notorious Marks: Atlas, Gorgimera, Behemoth King, or Svarog.

Atlas, The Breaker of Worlds, is a level 45 Mark located in Cressidia at the Grand Duchy of Rosaria via theEastpool Obelisk. Atlas will deploy destructive Golden Section and Saber Dance attacks best avoided by either precision dodges or Titanic Block, and after defeat, the enemy will yield15000 EXP, 120 Ability Points, 20000 Gil, 50 Renown, and either one Fallen Iron or one Orichalcum.

Gorgimera is a level 45 Mark located within The Velkroy Desert within the Dhalmekian Republic via thedesert’s Obelisk.The Tricephalic Terrorleaves its side open to attack while deploying its Flamethrower, and its Delta Attack marker is something to avoid. After the defeat, Gorgimera will cough up15000 EXP, 120 Ability Points, 20000 Gil, 50 Renown, and one Orichalcum.

Behemoth King

Behemoth Kingis a level 47 creature located in Vidargraes within the Kingdom of Waloed via theVidargraes Obelisk,and it’s imperative to avoid the creature’s Four Horsemen attack by dodging or staying in the air, as well as steering clear of its Reign of Fire and Apocalypse attacks. Defeating The Masterless Marauder will reward you with20000 EXP, 200 Ability Points, 20000 Gil, 55 Renown, and either one Behemoth Shackle or one Orichalcum.

Lastly,Svarog, the Ruin Reawakened, is known to be the hardest Notorious Mark in the game, boasting a level 50 S-Rank. This creature dwells in Mornebrume within the Holy Empire of Sanbreque and can be accessed via theCaer Norvent Glorieuse Gate Obelisk. Watch the pattern of this Mark’s three attacks — Blazing Legion, Red Dawn, and Embroil — is key. Defeating Svarog will earn you25000 EXP, 300 Ability Points, 30000 Gil, 60 Renown, and either one Empty Shard, one Amber, one Fallen Enigma, or one Orichalcum.
