Black Myth: Wukongis one of the most highly anticipated RPG titles developed by Game Science, based on the famous novel Journey to the West by Wu Cheng-en. In this game, players will embark on a fantastic journey and come across plenty of challenges along the way.

Despite being an action RPG title,Black Myth: Wukong is yet another exciting addition to Soulslike games, which to some degree follow the classic FromSoftware formula. However, the game has managed to bring one feature, which Hidetaka Miyazaki and his team need to steal in a completely different way.

Based on what we’ve seen so far, Game Science has brought various never-seen-before game mechanics and features for their upcoming game. One of these features is related to the game’s boss fights. While it’s quite an interesting mechanic, players are skeptical about its implementation and feel it should be completely the other way around. The time-limit restriction could lead to a lot of gamers completely missing out on a bunch of second phases, which could be crucial to progress in the game.

Such a unique mechanism brings the challenge that Soulslike fans have always dreamt of. The concept has incredible potential and can certainly raise the stakes for everyone.
Despite its appeal, it can be incredibly devastating for players who don’t manage to defeat the boss in their first run and have to keep repeating until they take it down.Whatever FromSoftware’s next title ends up being, Hidetaka Miyazaki could definitely learn from such a feature and bring it in a way that’s not punishing for players.
