The reason for this was many found great similarities between the tech giant’s latest inventions andWill Smith‘s 2004 filmI, Robot, which is also loosely based on Asimov’s work.

Furthermore, things took a turn for the worse when the movie’s director, Alex Proyos, tweeted about the same, asking Musk to give him his designs back. Although he meant it more as a joke, fans were quick to react and berated the genius inventor and businessman for allegedly copying the designs from the film.

Elon has no ideas of his own… and no leadership ability.

While most fans failed to understand the humor in Proyas’ take and instead criticized the director, there is no denying that many are having fun trolling Elon Musk. Although the designs look somewhat similar, one can’t help but state the fact that yesterday’s fantasies are finally becoming a reality, and maybe fans should rejoice over the fact.
