One of the most interesting additions toElden Ring’s incantations is the ability to summon the aspect of another creature to use its power and abilities on your enemies. These spells do require other stat requirements beyond just faith, like many otherincantations.

Elden Ring is full of mystical weapons, but few are as enchanting and distinct as the mystical Cipher Pata.
Some of these more interesting incantations are centered around dragons, having the playersummon a massive dragon headthat breathes different elemental effects at your enemy. Using these spells will require players to have a higher Arcane stat to memorize. Getting these incantations requiresfarming dragon heartsfor the field bosses of the open world, but upgraded versions are also available later in the game.

Where To Find Borealis' Mist
The first requirement to gettingBorealis’s Mistis todefeatBorealis, the Freezing Foghimself. Borealis is located in thenorthern frozen lake in the snowy mountains. While he is alive, the entire lake is covered in a thick fog, making it challenging to keep your eyes on the dragon once he starts flying. For the most part, hisattacks are the same as other field boss dragonsyou encounter. His breath attack is unique and does deal adecent amount of frostbite build-up. Fighting this boss on torrent will make it much more bearable.
After you have defeated Borealis, you’ll be able topurchase Borealis' Mist at the Dragon Communion Alter.Interacting with the burning basin beneath the dead dragon, you can trade dragon hearts for dragon incantations. Borealis' Mist willrequire two dragon hearts, with one being obtained after defeating Borealis. The second heart can be obtained by beating any of theother field boss dragonsthat can be found in the world.
How To Use Borealis' Mist
Borealis' Mistrequires 23Faithand 15Arcaneto memorize andcosts 48 FP to cast.This spell significantly limits your movement during the spell and requires a semi-long cast time. Borealis' Mist deals fullmagic damagewhile also applying frostbite build-upon affected enemies. This spell can be continuously cast, furthering the build-up and damage, but it will require a lot of FP to continue the breath.
Borealis' Mist does more damage than the Dragonice breath attack. These attacks are very similar in animation, butBorealis' Mist is the superior option. While casting, you are able to pivot which way you are casting this incantation, allowing you to adapt to a fight after the long cast time. Both pivoting and continuing the cast make the longer cast time very worthwhile.This incantation is an excellent optionfordealing with a large group of enemiesthat are moving toward you from a distance, giving you enough time to charge up and adequately cast the spell before they get within striking distance.
