At this point, you’ve finally dethroned the Magma Wyrm in thedepths of the Craterand even blessed yourself from thecurse of the Rotted Woods. What’s next? Well, it’s time to conquer Noklateo, the last Shifting Earth event inElden Ring Nightreign.

On the surface, Noklateo, The Shrouded City, feels like a slight resemblance to Leyndell Royal Capital from base Elden Ring, and I’d be lyingif I said it wasn’t the most layered Shifting Earth Event of them all because of how packed it is with details.

Be mindful that the order of the Nightlords won’t matter— it has to be seven of them defeated. You’ll automatically receive a notification of this event occurring in the Roundtable Hold, and while you may be inclined to jump in to see what it’s about, there are a few key factors about this particular event that make it different from the others.

The city of nokalteo on the map

It’s by far the biggest Shifting Earth Event in the game, occupying the entire bottom left part of the mapas well as replacing the middle Castle. This is rightfully so, since with the correct strategy and time management, this placecan get you to max levels easilywith a fantastic secret at the end of it.

With all that said, let’s talk about how you’re able to efficiently complete it.

How To Complete Noklateo, The Shrouded City

The secret of Noklateo is buried within the deepest part of the city. If you want to get your hands on it, you’ll need to make your way to the chapel section at the farthest end, where you’ll need to take down the Naturalborn of the Void boss, a familiar cosmic abomination from the original Elden Ring.

Before I give you a detailed breakdown, remember a couple of key points here: I’ll be detailing my team’susual route that allows you to take down most of the field bosses, shown above as reference in the image, and I’ll refrain from delving into specifics since our main focus is to promptly reach the Chapel area.

Nightreign Wylder Feature

You can reach the Chapel from either side of the city since they’re relatively identical. For this guide, we’ll be using the left side from where you enter here.

Lastly, I strongly advise being around level 10+ and heading straight here as soon as the second day startsto have adequate time for the last fight. This will also ensure you and your teammates can take down most of the boss fights that come your way without racing against the clock.

Reaching The Black Knife Assassin & Headless Troll

To reiterate: follow the route exactly as I laid out to maximize your efforts, since we’ll be skipping trash fodder enemies and heading straight for two field bosses here—the Black Knife Assassin and the Headless Troll.

And don’t worry, I’ll be guiding you through the directions in the simplest way possible throughout this ordeal.

As soon as you enter the city from the main entrance, hop down onto the canal, ignore the enemies, and head straight to find an opening on the left side.Climb it up and over, ignore the Basilisks that come out of the murky water, and continue to eventually reach a ruinous zone.

An immobile version of the Naturalborn of the Void can be found here, launching a volley of rocks—again, ignore it, it’s not worth the time investment to kill it.Instead, look for an opening just near where you entered to find a drop that leads into the sewers.

Take caution of the Basilisks here and their Deathblight spew.Continue forward through the underground sewer as shown above in the images, and you’ll soon reach a Spiritstream, which should take you back upwards to ground level again, right next to a Site of Grace.

In this next zone, you’ll be able to take on the Headless Troll in the canal here while the Black Knife Assassin is up the path with the bridge.I strongly advise taking the Troll down first and then the Assassin, but that choice doesn’t matter much; just defeat both of them quickly.

From that bridge, you’ll soon reach the stairs leading to the inner Chapel area. Before heading in there, make sure to spend your remaining runes to level up again, and kill the two roaming ghost knights here while you’re at it, because one of them drops a reward boon.

Naturalborn of the Void Boss Fight

Head up the stairs and into the Chapel itself to begin the boss fight against the Naturalborn of the Void. Before I explain the fight, it’s worth noting that this boss fight becomes much easier the more ranged characters you have in your squad.

Be that as it may, you’ll likely be zoned in on the second circle, so trying to defeat it before that circle starts moving in takes priority here. And I mean that wholeheartedly, because this fight can take a while to beat, depending on your party composition and levels.

The Naturalborn of the Void can devastate squishy characters withits AOE ground attacks as well as swipe at nearby characters with its gravity-burst projectiles from the claws. It helps to have anIroneyeapply their weakening mark on it and aRaiderto make this monstrosity stagger easily.

It’s highly encouraged to take your time with the fight due to the aforementioned annoying attacks. After all, the reason why I recommended such a hasty approach to coming here was so that you would have enough time to beat it without feeling like you’re racing the clock, too.

Thankfully, the hitbox on this abomination is large enough that you could even target the back or the limbs if you wanted to.Staying at the front brings you the most risk, because it can even lunge at you with a biting attack or bring out that AOE gravity pulse attack.

Once you’ve taken down this boss fight, head to the opposite end of the entrance and claim the secret, the Favor of Noklateo. It will allow you to auto-revive from defeat once and grant you temporary power, a similar effect to the Wending Grace item.

If you have ample time remaining as you’re making your way back to the entrance for the exit, fight the Dragonkin Soldier in the middle of the canal hereas depicted in the image to get additional rewards and runes to min-max your levels.

To further squeeze in that remaining time,my team will often end up fighting Loretta just outside the cityas the final circle is closing in for Night 2. At this point, with all the levels and gear you get from Noklateo, she becomes a cakewalk Field Boss to take down.
