Retrieving The Carian Glintstone Staff
The Carian Glintstone staff islocated at the Carian Study Hall, East of Liurnia of the Lakes. Before diving into how to retrieve it, it’s important to note thatif you have followed Ranni’s questline and have placed the Inverted Statue on its pedestal, you will have to remove the statueto return the study hall to normal and retrieve the Staff.
Once you enter the original study hall, make your way to the back, where you will find an elevator; ride this elevator upwards and begin your ascent on the stairs to the left. There will be a bunch of pesky enemies led by a head mage. Once you have taken care of the enemies, climb to the top floor to find the item resting on a bench. This item will be the Carian Glintstone Staff.
The Staff’s Sword Sorceries Boost
This Staff is an excellent choice for mid-game mages who have gathered a lot of Carian Sword Sorceries. It does not come with a weapon skill and cannot be infused withAshes of War, but it can be upgraded using Smithing Stones. As per its description,“Staff embedded with a blue glintstone. One of two types of Carian Staff. Given to sorcerers that they might enact the role of knight. Enhances Carian sword sorceries.”If you want to create a solid mid-level mage focusing on Carian Sorcery, this is the Staff you must obtain.
The Carian Glintstone Staff scales withIntelligenceandStrengthandboosts the potency of Sword Sorceries by 15%. A couple of examples of spells that are boosted by this passive effect are Adula’s Moonblade and the Carian Slicer. It’s important to note that there are Carian-named spells, but these spells will not be boosted by this Staff but rather the Carian Glintblade Staff. Another exciting feature of this Staff is that since the boost to Carian Sword Sorcery is its passive ability, you can wield this Staff in your offhand while using your primary Staff to create further depth in your character’s build.
