Dying Light: The Beast finally received it’s anticipated release date as part of theSummer Game Fest 2025 Livestream. The popular zombie survival series has grown into something of a cult classic over the years, and developersTechlandwill be looking to continue that good form going into the third installment.
Originally envisioned as a DLC toDying Light 2: Stay Human, Dying Light: The Beast has since morphed into its own standalone title and will take place in its own setting.

The impressive trailer, which featured high-fidelity visuals and gameplay examples including parkour and action finishers, finally capped off with the announcement ofa release date of August 22nd, 2025.
What Can We Expect From Dying Light: The Beast?
So far, we know that Kyle Crane, the original protagonist ofDying Light, will be making a return and battling against a villain named The Baron. The setting of Castor Woods appears to feature both dense, lush woodlands and urban environments with moreclassical European-inspired architecture.
The game appears to feature vehicles andthe usual parkour/melee combat that we are used to, but the environments are considerably more detailed, as are your undead foes.

It seems that there is alsoa bit more of a medical sci-fi feelto this entry, with some scenes in the trailer depicting zombies inside a science lab and the player-protagonist pulling off feats of super-human strength.

Journey into the world of zombies with masterpieces like Resident Evil, Zom 100, and Dead Snow.
In addition to theundead hordes and bloated bosses, it seems that the usual interpersonal conflicts between human factions will also feature again, perhaps with some old faces from previous titles returning once again.

Either way, Dying Light: The Beast is looking very promising and I, for one, am getting increasingly hyped for it. Keep the date circled and the last week of August free of commitments, it’s soon time to go zombie-slaying once again.
