Although there are some higher-level trolls and Griffins you may attempt to defeat for their valuable resources, initially, you’ll just want to stick to killing goblins if you are looking to make a quick buck.
Although you aren’t guaranteed to get gold from every goblin you kill, in the Vernworth area, you do have about a 30% chance of them dropping anywhere from 200-400 gold for the smaller goblins, and 600 or more for the larger ones. Not to mention, goblins almost always drop resources like goblin horns and beast skins that will be easy cash when you sell them to a vendor.
Furthermore, goblins are found just about everywhere when exploring near roads or woodland paths, which means you’ll have ample opportunity to loot them while adventuring between cities. They also tend to have a fewchests in their campsthat will almost certainly have more gold for you to acquire as well, making taking out a goblin camp almost a guarantee to net you a couple thousand gold.
Monster Cullings
Another great way to earn gold while you are farming is by looking forMonster Culling events. As you are exploring the wilds, you’ll occasionally run into a helpless NPC being attacked by wolves, goblins, or any other kind of creature you can face. These NPCs are unique in that they don’t have weapons to fight back; think of them as civilians.
You’ll know you’ve stumbled upon a monster culling because a small yellow quest box will appear where the NPC is getting attacked. Simply kill the group of enemies around them, and once they are safe, walk up to the NPC to trigger some dialogue. Steal From The Rich
If you are sick of killing goblins and want to resort to other, nefarious methods, you can always just steal directly from the wealthy. Technically, it isn’t even stealing since you can do it right in front of them with no consequences.
While you’re able to enter just about any home or establishment and loot their resources, doing so in small towns and poor districts of large cities might be more effort than it’s worth. Instead, go where the rich people live, like theNoble Quarter in Vernworth. Here, you can regularly find high-end healing items, rare gems,fancy clothes, and literal bags of gold all in one house. Making a trip through the Noble Quarter can easily net you 10,000-20,000 gold.
Even after you’ve fully looted this area, there are many others like it. So any time you see a fancy-looking building, make sure you head inside and collect everything they’ve got. Due to how easy it is to become overburdened, it is best to do this in town, somewhere near a shop where you can sell what you’ve collected.

Combining Ingredients
As you spend dozens of hours running around the gigantic map in Dragon’s Dogma 2, you’ll undoubtedly pick up tons of ingredients when killing enemies, harvesting flora and fauna materials, and opening the countless chests scattered around. As you’re probably already aware, these materials willvery quickly weigh you down, and you can only give so much to your pawns before you’ll inevitably have to make a trip to an inn to drop everything in storage.
Chances are, you have loads of materials just sitting in there, waiting to be used. This is not only a great pool of resources to use when you need to restock on health or stamina potions, butit is a literal treasure trove of materials to craft to be sold for quick gold. And even though many of the more common level craftable items like fruit roborant and sobering tonic only sell for 210 G and 157 G respectively, you’re able to easily craft a dozen of them using the most common occurring ingredients Vernworth has to offer, making it a breeze to quickly pad your wallet with a few thousand gold.
Furthermore, these gains will continue to stack if you decide to now use your newly crafted Fruit Roborant to craft a higher-quality version. With one more ingredient like Cinnamon Bark or a Saurian Tail, you can use that Fruit Roborant to make a Mighty Roborant or Exquisite Roborant that sells for 300 G and 450 G respectively.

Completing Quests
There is no shortage of quests to take on in Dragons Dogma 2, and most of them will net you a pretty penny upon completion.
