DD2has many different armor pieces and weapons for each Vocation for players to find and make their character stronger. While most gear pieces are simply better than others, some players may get more attached to a weapon and enhance it to make it viable longer.

How To Undo Enhancements

The first catch in undoing or getting rid of Enhancements is that it canonly be done in New Game Plus.In New Game Plus, make your way toBay Wayside Shrineand speak to the Dragonforged, who can then get rid of any enhancement already on a weapon.

As there is no way to undo enhancements in a first playthrough, players will simply need tobuy a new version of that weapon at a store. Many weapons in the game can be purchased, but rare weapons found only will be stuck with any enhancements for that playthrough. In New Game Plus, all gear stats will be the same,so it’ll most of the time bejust as easy to find that same weapon again and start over with your new enhancements.

Why Undo Enhancements

Whether undoing enhancements or starting fresh on a new weapon, trying different builds is always a great option. Some forging styles, such asDwarven forging, are only unlocked later in the game, with many players wanting to use it once found. Depending on your Vocation and playstyle, some upgrades may be useless on a weapon, like increasing the strength of a magic staff. While it will cost gold and resources, it’salways worth the effort to make your perfect buildif you need to make some changes.

There are many differentforging stylesto choose from, and players should know which is best for their Vocation and playstyle. Should players want to use a different weapon, changing Vocationsis a quick and easy process.
