Fast Traveling comes in two methods, the Oxcart and Portcrystals. Early into a playthrough, many players will need to rely on Oxcarts to travel from place to place, with Ferrystones and Portcrystals being used for further and less often fast traveling.

How To Use Oxcarts
Oxcarts are the first main form of fast traveling and will bepresent at most town entrances.Should an oxcart not already be there, players can interact with thebell on the pole near a town gate to wait until an oxcart arrives.By paying the owner of the Oxcart a few hundred gold, players can board and travel to the next town, either staying awake and watching the journey or dozing off.
Dozing off is the traditional fast travel method,as the screen will fade to black, and the player willwake up either at the location or in the middle of a raid.Monsters attacking Oxcarts are fairly common, and players will need to survive and kill all the enemies before returning to the Oxcart for the rest of the journey.Oxcarts also have a set path for where they will always go,with each one only taking players to the next town over from whatever side of the town the player is currently in.
Oxcarts alsotake time to get from one place to another,making them a less ideal form of fast traveling when trying to get somewhere for a time-sensitive quest. With the chance of larger monsters attacking an Oxcart, it’s a good idea to rest orcampbefore taking an Oxcart. This is an easy method when travelingone town over, but for longer-distance travel, players will want to use Portcrystals.
How To Use Portcrystals & Ferrystones
Portcrystals and Ferrystones offer a much quicker form of fast travel over long distancesbut require a lot more work and gold. Players are able touse a Ferrystone in their inventory to instantly travel to any Portcrystal in the worldinstantly. Ferrystones are required for each fast travel, and are expensive to purchase and rare to find throughout the world.
Portcrytals are the location being fast-traveled to,and many major cities already have one. Simplyinteracting with a city’s Portcrystal will activate itand leave it as a fast-travel location forever. As players progress through the game, Portcrystals can be found and placed. Players can place ten Portcrytals throughout the worldand use them as much as they’d like as long as they haveenough Ferrystones,and they can evenpick them up and move their location whenever.
While there will be armed guards protecting an Oxcart,summoning Pawnsto be in your party will help in the event a raid happens.Enhancing the Arisen’s gearwill also make sure you’re ready for any beast to stop the cart.
