Pawns are a key element of Dragon’s Dogma 2. When you start the game, you’ll create your main Pawn who acts as your constant companion. They will level with you, progress with you, and become stronger in their Vocation. When it comes to filling out the rest of your party, you’ll need to recruit new Pawns from Riftstones.

Where To Find Forgotten Rifstones
You won’t find any of these Riftstones in towns or cities.These Riftstones are littered throughout the open world, and they’re often hidden in nooks and crannies you’ll stumble upon through thorough exploration. While they are a rare find, they’re worth the hunt.

What Do Forgotten Riftstones Do
When you interact with a Forgotten Riftstone, one of two things will occur.The first option is that the Riftstone will reconstruct itself.You can then use just just like a normal Riftstone, but it works a little different than the typical Riftstones you’ll find in towns and cities.These Riftstones will have something of a theme. Every Pawn availiable will share a certain trait, making it a great way to choose a specific type of Pawn.
The second option is arguably the coolest and most useful. Instead of reconstructing itself, the Riftstone will summon a unique high level Pawn for you to recruit.In addition to them being high level, they’re also free to recruit.Personally, I’ve recruited every single Pawn I’ve met this way. It’s a very powerful reward for discovering the Forgotten Riftstone.
