The’Dr. Stone’manga series has officially ended with the release of Chapter 232; however, the manga will get a special chapter this year, and here’s everything you need to know about it.
Written by Riichiro Inagaki and illustrated by Boichi,Dr. Stoneis a popular Japanese manga series. The manga follows the journey of Senku, who wakes up 3700 years after the entire human race is turned into stone. The 15-year old prodigy takes it upon himself to use science to revive civilization.
Senku starts by breaking out some of his friends out of Petrification, but throughout his journey, he finds several people who don’t agree with the idea of bringing back science in this new world.
TMS Entertainment released the anime adaptation ofDr. Stoneback in 2019, followed by the second season in 2021. The anime series is confirmed to come back with the third season in 2023.
Dr. Stone Manga Has Officially Ended
Now, on one side, we have anime fans waiting for Season 3 ofDr. Stone. On the other hand, the manga community is heartbroken that the popular manga series by Riichiro Inagaki is finished. On March 6th, 2022,Dr. Stonehas officially ended with a total of 232 chapters.
Of course, the ending ofDr. Stonewas fulfilling, and it left the series on a good note. However, it’s still sad that we won’t get a new chapter of the series next week. That said, we still have something else to look forward to this year.
Apparently, a TV anime special titledDr. Stone Ryusuiis scheduled to release sometime in Summer 2022. And interestingly, the anime special will be accompanied by a bonus chapter that will be out on Weekly Shonen Jump (Via:WSJ Manga).
We still don’t have an official release date for the television special and the chapter. However, the creators might announce something around it in the coming months, so we’ll update you with the latest information accordingly.
