There are a lot of racers when considering who to be your go-to racer, but they are not just a cosmetic choice. Each racer in Speedstorm has their own skills, unique ability, and differing stats to consider. Each racer has Top Speed for how fast they are able to go, Acceleration for how long it takes them to reach top speed, Handling for how well you can make corners, Boost for determining the duration of boosts, and Combat for determining how long a target is stunned for.

There are 4 classes of racer to be aware of: Brawler, which are better for getting into combat; Defender for protecting themselves; Speedsters with a better top speed; and Trickster with a longer boost duration to get past and around racers they impede.

10Elizabeth Swan

Elizabeth Swan is a defender class and is from the Disney franchise, Pirates of the Caribbean. Her superior handling and boost will allow her to make corners a breeze while gaining the biggest bang whenever she boosts.

Her skills include Boost, Cloak, Hack, and Shot. Her unique skill will allow her to dash forward to push other racers out of her way or leave obstacles to prevent other racers from passing her. By using the Crew Member Weatherby Swan, she can start off with Cloak along with a bonus to her unique skill.

Mulan is a Trickster class and is from the Disney franchise, Mulan. Like Elizabeth, she has an emphasis on Handling, but she puts a secondary focus on both her acceleration and boost. Her skills include Boost, Fire, Hack, and Shield, and her unique skill will let her unleash a volley of fireworks in front of her or guided projectiles behind her.

This can stun a large group of other racers, allowing her to swoop in for the win. With the Crew Member Mushu, she is able to start off with Fire along with a bonus to her unique skill. Ofall the tracks in Speedstorm, the one based on the Mulan franchise is a real treat.

Belle is a Speedster class and is from the Disney franchise, Beauty and the Beast. Belle puts a focus on Handling, with a secondary focus on Acceleration. Her skills consist of Boost, Cloak, Fire, and Hack, with her unique skill being Enchanted Mirror.

Enchanted Mirror is a very versatile skill and will allow her to place objects resembling furniture ahead of her in the track that will stun any other racers who crash into them. When this is not the best course of action, she can instead use it to give herself a speed boost. With the Crew Member Maurice, she is able to start off with Cloak along with a bonus to her unique skill.

Beast is a Brawler class and is from the Disney franchise, Beauty and the Beast. Beast is the first on this list to break the pattern of the best racers prioritizing handling. Beast puts a big focus on top Speed, which synergizes well with his unique skill. His skills include Boost, Hack, Shield, and Shot, and his unique skill allows him to let out a powerful roar at any racers in front of him.

He is able to leap forward when using this skill, further adding to its versatility. With the Crew Member Lumiere, Beast will start off with Boost in addition to a bonus for his unique skill. Having a boost at the start for a character that focuses on speed is brilliant, but whenever Beast is stunned, he loses all that built-up moment.

6Mickey Mouse

Mickey Mouse is a Speedster class and is from the Disney franchise, Mickey and Friends. Handling is a very important stat, so much so that the majority of this list is here because of its use, with Mickey being no exception. His skills involve the use of Bomb, Rush, Shield, and Shot, with his unique skill being a double-edged sword.

He creates a musical trail and receives a speed increase; however, other racers can use this trail to give themselves a speed increase and then boost at the end to pass Mickey. The Crew Member Pluto will allow Mickey to start off with Rush and boost his unique skill. Mickey Mouse has been a staple character insome of the best Disney Games.

Hercules is a Brawler class and is the title character of the Disney franchise, Hercules. He has a very balanced set of stats, and his skills give him a lot of utility.

His skills consist of Boost, Cloak, Hack, and Shot, with his unique skill summoning Pegasus to leave a trail that Hercules may use to gain some extra speed while also either stunning other racers or protecting Hercules. Pegasus is also a Crew Member that will allow Hercules to start with Shot and provide him a bonus to his unique skill.

4Donald Duck

Donald Duck is a Brawler class and is from the Disney franchise, Mickey and Friends. He puts a significant focus on handling, giving him a lot of control for making corners and positioning where he needs to be on the track. His skills include Boost, Bomb, Cloak, and Fire, with his unique skill placing a shield over him that is able to absorb one hit.

Other racers will want to avoid hitting Donald with this skill up; otherwise, they will trigger an angry state that will stun anything that comes near him. Using the Crew Member chip for José Carioca and Panchito, Donald will start with the Bomb skill, along with a bonus to his unique skill.

Li Shang is a Defender class and is from the Disney franchise, Mulan. One of Li Shang’s worst stats is handling. Instead, he puts a focus on Top Speed and Acceleration, allowing him not only be faster than other racers, but also get up to those speeds quickly.

This stat feature alone moves him up this list quite a lot. His skills include Bomb, Fire, Rush, and Shield, along with his unique skill that allows him to throw a projectile that ricochets or creating an area of effect around him that will protect him while stunning enemies. With the Crew Member General Li, Li Shang will start with Bomb, along with a bonus to his unique skill.

2Mike Wazowski

Mike Wazowski is a Speedster class and is from the Disney franchise, Monsters, Inc. He puts a significant focus on handling, making maneuvering across any track and avoiding obstructions much easier. His skills consist of Boost, Hack, Shield, and Shot, with his unique skill dropping several doors onto the track, with his choice of nearer or further away.

These doors will act as barriers that will stun any other racer that crashes into them. If Mike hits one of these doors, however, he will get a speed increase, making his skill both an obstruction and a way for him to cover more distance. Mike and Sully have been the faces of one of thekey game modes in Speedstorm, as will other racers in future seasons.

Meg is a Trickster class and is from the Disney franchise, Hercules. She puts a primary focus on Boost and a secondary focus on Handling, allowing her to cover more distance while reducing the likelihood of crashing into anything. The skills she makes use of are Bomb, Boost, Cloak, and Fire, with her unique skill being all about covering distance in the game, and that is how you win races — or at the very least, get more points.

Her unique skill will give her a speed increase for a set duration, but passing other racers will extend this duration to keep it going for much longer. While she is first, she can use this skill in an alternate way that will leave a trail that blinds any other race and fills up her boost bar to cover even more distance.
