Discounty is a super-low-stress,cozysimin which you’ll take on the task of operating an entire grocery store alone for your wily and shrewd aunt. It’s asmall town, so it’s not like you’re going to bethatbusy ever. Still, running an entire store alone isn’t always easy.
Despite this, the trophy list for Discounty is pretty much a breeze. At the same time, it’s not a mindless waste of time, either. This game is really nice, and the super-accessible andattainable platinum trophygoes along super nicely with the vibe of the game itself.

Below, we’ll walk you through all 18 trophies in Discounty so that you can wrap up the list around the same time you roll credits on this fairly short, but super-sweet title.
Time to open the store for business.

Discounty Trophy Guide And Roadmap
I love a breezy but entertaining platinum trophy, and Discounty fits this mold wonderfully. The best news here is thatthere are no trophies in the game that are missable whatsoever. This ultimately means that you’re completely free to simply play at your own pace and not even think about trophies till later.
This is entirely fine, and you’ll still earn a nice chunk of the trophies through natural progression anyway. But at the same time, there’s stilloneparticular trophy that I’d recommend you start working towards ASAP, unless you feel like grinding for several hours in the post-game (like I wound up doing).

The trophy to look out for is An Apple A Day, which requires you to sell a total of 365 apples at the store over the course of your entire game. I finished the game with probably around 100 to 125 apples sold naturally, so I then had to take special measures to clean this one up later. I wouldn’t advise this, so learn from my mistake andhop down to that section of this guide first.
You’ll also want to check the Antique Shop daily for thepink dollhouse, which you’ll need eventually forThe Streets Beneath. It shows up often, so no worries if you forget to grab it till later, but it doesn’t hurt to buy it and stash it in your trailer until it’s needed later on.

Aside from these few things, just play the game and have a good time. If you need help with any trophies along the way, I’ve got you covered below.
Unlock All Trophies
As always, you’ll earn Discounty’s platinum once you’ve attained all the other trophies in the game. No need to do anything else special for this one.
Blomkest Beginnings (Bronze)
Complete Your Training At Discounty
This one is story-related and completely unmissable.
After getting to take over the grocery store from Aunt Tellar, you’ll have several days of training and tutorials from Grace at Discounty. Complete this and a few other odd-jobs in the quest log, and this one is yours.

Everything’s On Sale, Proudly! (Bronze)
Complete Chapter 1
This trophy is also story-related and will be automatically acquired once you finish Chapter 1, which involves upgrading the size of the store for the first time.
Simply complete main quests until Chapter 1 is finished.
Where Are We Going? (Silver)
Complete Chapter 2
Surprise, surprise, another story trophy!
There’s not a lot to walk you through here, but Chapter 2 is a lot more involved than Chapter 1. Here, you’ll have several lengthy quests, such as saving up 8,000 shills, and upgrading each of the four trade deals in town to Tier 2.
The quest prompts are super clear here, so just continue fullfiling all quest goals, and you’ll have this story soon enough.

Discounty! (Gold)
Finish The Game
As you’d imagine, finishing the game is also a story-related trophy. After expanding the shop for the last time, the citizens of Blomkest will protest your very existence, led by Ms. Andersen.
You’ll eventually come to terms with Ms. Andersen, but she’ll also ask you to complete a pretty substantial series of final quests.
The craziest thing here is that she’ll require you to save up 15,000 shills as a sort of promise that you’ll do your part to help out the town from now on. Seems more like a bribe, but oh well.
Finish this last series of requirements for Ms. Andersen, credits will roll, and you’ll pop this gold trophy.
The Streets Beneath (Gold)
Find Out What’s Going On With The Rats
There are four groups of rats that you’ll find around town, and each wants you to give them a specific sort of offering in order to appease them. You must ask the relevant NPCs in the area for suggestions after finding the rats, though some of their offered solutions are a little vague.
Also note that helping these rats opens up fast travel points around the map, which is a nice perk for partaking in this quest in addition to the trophy.
There’s also one missing sheep you need to assist to unlock the last fast travel point, which isactuallythe trigger to earn this trophy.
Here’s what each group of rats wants:
Group One: By The Dumpster At The Recycling Center
This is the first group you’ll likely encounter. In their food dish in front of the dumpster, you need to offer one serving of sheep’s cheese.
After finding the rats, speak with Ted in the recycling center to see if he has any ideas. Then, go get some cheese.
Sheep’s cheese is the Tier 2 item you’ll be able to sell via Karl’s trade deal, which is story-related and will happen naturally. If you don’t have the cheese to offer the rats, just keep progressing until you do.
Group Two: By The Highway In Front Of Aunt Tellar’s House
This pack of rats wants radioactive waste. After completing the story quest for Ms. Andersen where you’ll investigate why the ocean is turning green, you’ll learn that Barbara’s fish company is dumping their waste into the ocean.
Agree to dispose of Barbara’s Fishy Waste for her, and you’ll earn one barrel of waste per container of Fish Sticks you buy from her.
Find the rats in front of the bus stop, then talk to Aunt Tellar about them. Afterward, take one of these fishy waste barrels and offer it to the rats by the highway.
Group Three: At Karl’s Red Barn On The Farm
After completing the Nisse quest with Karl at his farm (story-related), you’ll be able to appease the third group of rats. They’ll require three items this time: oats, an apple, and fish sticks.
Talk to Karl about the rats, offer all three items, and this group is done.
Group Four: At The Pier On The Harbor
Last up is a group of rats on the pier in the most southeastern part of the harbor you can traverse to. These rats simply want a place to live. You’ll learn this from Barbara once you speak with her after initially finding this group of rats.
Check the antique store daily until you see a large, pink dollhouse for sale. Whenever you do find it for sale, purchase it and give it to the rats. Quest completed, and trophy earned.
The Sheep In The Woods
Though a sheep is not a rat, you still need to help one to unlock the last fast travel point and earn this trophy. You’ll find the sheep standing on a sewer grate in the Forest once you’ve unlocked this area. The sewer grate is inside an abandoned building complex in the southwestern part of the Forest.
After finding the sheep, ask Karl about it. He’ll imply that the sheep wants an energy drink. Grab one from your store, and give it to the sheep. This clears the sheep from the grate, which unlocks this last fast travel point and finally pops the trophy.
Fully Stocked (Gold)
Unlock Every Ware
“Every ware” just means every product you can sell in the store. In addition to the items the game starts you out with, there are a total of 27 more wares to collect.
12 of these come from your four trade vendors; Barbara, Fisher, Karl, and Tammy. These wares are all mandatory to story/main quest progression, so you’ll get all 12 of these items naturally just from playing the game.
The other 15 items are obtained from the Discounty Rewards Program, which is accessed on the computer in the back office of your store.
A few days into the game, Grace will introduce you to this program, which gives daily and weekly goals from corporate for you to work towards. As a reward, you’ll earn Discounty points, which can be exchanged for various perks and new wares.
Each time you expand the store, you’ll have more perks and wares to obtain. There are three tiers of rewards, and each one has 5 wares that you can unlock. Each costs 1 Discounty Rewards point to unlock.
This means that you must complete enough daily/weekly goals to earn and spend at least 15 points. These tasks range from things like selling 5 apples in one day, ordering 2 crates of something, or cashing out 5 happy people. Everything is fairly simple for the most part.
You can change one daily goal per shift if you don’t think one of them is attainable. Be sure to check your goals on the computer before opening every day to see if there’s anything you’d like to re-roll.
It’s A Deal! (Bronze)
Unlock A Trade Deal
There are four trade partners around town who you’ll get more product to sell from. These are Barbara, Fisher, Karl, and Tammy.
All of these are story-related, and Barbara is who you’ll strike a deal with first. Once you get the main story quest that requires this and you carry out your mission, you’ll earn this trophy as well.
The Secret Ingredient (Bronze)
Shut Down The Lemonade Stand
Far enough into the story once again, Chester, the local delinquent child, will set up a lemonade stand in front of Discounty. Aunt Tellar, of course, is not okay with this “competition” in the area, and tells you to do something about it.
What’s the course of action? Why, poisoning the lemonade, of course. Or at least making it taste bad to drive away customers.
I dumped a bunch of toothpaste into the lemonade and completed this quest, but feel free to try out another gross item if you please. Toothpaste is a guaranteed winner, though.
That Wasn’t Meant To Happen (Gold)
Instigate The Townspeople To Start A Protest Against Discounty
This is the last of the automatic, story-related trophies.
After expanding for the final time, Aunt Tellar has the idea to expand further into a neighboring historical landmark. The town goes insane at this proposition and launches a full-on protest right outside your front doors.
Get to this point in the story via main quests, and the trophies is all yours.
An Apple A Day (Gold)
Sell 365 Apples In Discounty
As mentioned in the roadmap section of this guide, An Apple A Day is the most grindy trophy in all of Discounty. You’ll get this one eventually simply by keeping the store open long after rolling credits, but there are ways to speed things up too with the hopes of popping the trophy early.
I beat the game after 57 days, but didn’t pop this trophy until Day 76. Don’t be like me.
Instead, the goal here is to make apples your biggest “impulse buy” purchase in the store. There are two factors here to make this happen as effectively as possible:
From here, there aren’t any other tricks. Simply keep apples in stock always, boost them, and put them front and center in the store. Eventually, you’ll sell 365.
There’s no way to track how many apples you’ve sold unless keeping manual notes. Just keep at it, and the trophy will pop eventually.
Can You Pet The Cat? (Silver)
Attempt Petting Ms. Andersen’s Cat
Ms. Andersen is the cliché, nosy old lady that knows everything going on in her small town. She has a “cat” at home named Winifred. Your goal for this trophy is to attempt to pet it once.
The “cat” is always in Ms. Andersen’s home, which is just left of the bar on the north side of town. you may enter her home whenever you want, so head inside at your leisure.
You’ll find her “cat,” which is actually a raccoon. Walk up to it, try to interact with it, and it will hiss at you for interrupting its TV time. No worries, you got your trophy now anyway.
Service With A Smile (Silver)
Complete A Working Day At Discounty Getting Only Heart Reactions From Customers
This one has a little bit of RNG to it, but keep at it, and it’s pretty easily earned. Customers in Discounty will have one of three reactions once you finish cashing them out at the store: anger, happiness, or heart eyes.
For this trophy, everyone in the shop must leave with heart eyes. To accomplish this, there are a few things you’re able to do:
Why this one is RNG dependent is because, often times, customers will enter the store just before close, then get mad when the store closes before they’ve finished shopping. This isn’t your fault, and sadly, there’s nothing you can do about it.
Additionally, sometimes customers will simply get stuck in the store and stand around for hours. They’ll then get mad when the store closes and other people get to the register before them. Again, there’s nothing you can do to help this.
All you can do is run the shop as best you can and get people in and out as quickly as possible, hoping no customers glitch out and that no one comes in right before close.
Just keep at it, and it will happen eventually.
Let Guy Get It (Gold)
Place An Order For Delivery Guy That Fills Up The Entire Truck
The Delivery Guy can fit 26 boxes on his truck. For this trophy, you must order 26 items at once.
Will you everneed26 containers in one shipment? No, most likely not. Still, if you want the trophy, you’ll have to bite the bullet.
From the ordering computer in the back office, place an order, and increase item counts until the game won’t let you add any more items. This is your signal that it’s a full truckload.
You can also only order up to 5 boxes of each item, so you’ll need to order at least 6 items total in order to get 26 total boxes.
Targeted Advertising (Gold)
Have A Total Of 50% More Customers Coming From Poster Effects
You’ll have a couple of quests in the game in which you place advertising posters on the bulletin boards around town to drive up your number of daily customers. On your end of day report, you’ll see your boosted customer count that comes along from these posters.
For this trophy, you must place enough posters around town to get this total above 50%. There are three boards where you can advertise – outside the bar (can place 2 posters), at the bus stop (can place 2 posters), and outside abandoned fishery at the harbor (can place 3 posters).
You can print more posters at City Hall. They remain active for one week before they’re taken down, and you have to print and post more. However, if you simply ensure you have seven posters active at once, this trophy will pop after your next business day.
Hang your posters efficiently. If you don’t leave enough space, you won’t be able to hang the maximum additional number of posters.
Scrub Amok (Gold)
Clean 10 Messes In Discounty In One Day
Shortly after starting the game, Grace will give you a mop to clean up messes on the floor of the store. For this trophy, you must clean up 10 messes in one day.
The thing is, you’ll never have 10 mess patches show up in one single day. Instead, you’ll need to put your neat freak nature aside and allow 10 separate messes to form over the course of several days.
However long it takes, just don’t clean up anything. Once 10 messes are on the ground, use the mop, and clean them all up on the same day. Trophy acquired.
Rags To Riches (Gold)
Make 1000 Shills By Recycling
Grace will teach you how to use the trash compactor in the back office early on in the game, which then also allows you to recycle old containers at the recycling center just east of the hardware store.
One full bundle of compacted recyclables will earn you 45 shills. But here’s the catch: a single, uncompacted box will also net you 45 shills. This means it’s better business to lug your empties to the recycling container as single containers, then place them in their respective bins to get the max payout possible.
Additionally, Aunt Tellar will eventually give you a plastic bag to collect litter around town. Each piece of litter you pick up and take to the recycling machine is worth 10 shills.
Just keep recycling long enough until you’ve earned 1,000 shills total for your efforts.
Traffic Jam (Bronze)
Hold Up Traffic By Standing In Front Of A Car For An Hour
This one is easy and hilarious. Just stand in front of a moving car for one in-game hour until the trophy pops. They’ll drive by periodically on the main highway in front of the bus station.
There’s no negative consequence for this. Just make sure you have a full hour to spare, and you’re good to earn this final Discounty trophy!
