With this new wheel of emotes comes the inclusion of quests that require you to use emotes in specific locations to complete them. These quests are often fast but require a close read of exactly what is being asked of you. Where To Start In Desperate Times
From theImperial Library Waypointin Caldeum, there is a parchment on a pile of wooden rubble marked as a blue dot on your map very close to the Waypoint. Interact with it to obtain the quest and receive a passage that hints at what you must do. Reading it says,“And when all is lost, stand before the golden watchers at the palace gates, plead for their help, and be armed.“this will start the questIn Desperate Timesand mark an area not too far away from where you are now to the south. Head south down the path to the courtyard area just at the end of the long stretch to the Imperial Gardens. On the left will be a marked area in front of a giant statue where you can request some aid to complete the quest.
Ask For Aid
Just as the parchment instructs, head to the statue just past the courtyard in theImperial Gardens. The courtyard will often have enemies around, so clear them out to provide yourself with a moment to use the emote that is required of you. Once you are in the blue circle in front of the statue, use theHelp emotefrom theAction Wheelto spawn a chest receiving the aid you so desperately needed. To complete the quest simply open the chest you just spawned in to bring you the aid you seek in the form of some weapon loot drops.
