If you have tried to get the Personal Touch Rare Ingredient during this year’s The Dawning, you have probably noticed that it just doesn’t drop. The game simply asks forMelee Abilitykills to give you Personal Touch, but no matter how hard you try, the ingredient won’t drop. This means you need to find an alternative method, and we already have a suggestion for you!
How To Get Personal Touch
The drop rate of Personal Touch is clearly bugged, butyou can still earn it through The Dawning Bounties. If you check the rewards for the event Bounties, almost all of themdrop a Random Ingredient, which includes Rare Ingredients as well.
By completing these Bounties you have a chance to get Personal Touch randomly, but we are not done yet! There is indeed a way toincrease this chance by claiming an Event Upgrade from Eva Levante. If you purchase theBountiful Harvest upgradefrom the event vendor and activate it,all your Bounties will drop one additional Random ingredient. This way, you will have a better chance of getting Personal Touch.
We strongly suggest you unlock and activate this upgrade before completing your weekly, daily, and random bounties for the event. If you don’t get Personal Touch this way, you will have to wait for an official fix fromBungieto arrive.
We also managed to discover thatthe drop rate of Personal Touch works much better in Europathan in other regions. Although it still doesn’t drop as fast as other Rare Ingredients, we managed to get at least 2 Personal Touch inhalf an hour of melee damaging every enemyin Europa. Also, we discovered thatusing Glaives to get melee kills can get you Personal Touch much fasterthan bare hands or melee abilities.
It’s worth noting thattwo cookies will require Personal Touch: Eliksni Birdseed and Lavender Ribbon Cookies. So, in order to complete event quests and bake every unique cookie, you must have at least two Personal Touch.
