All these weapons also have a brand-newOrigin Traitcalled Advanced Reflexes, which states “Upon taking damage from a target, quickly guard or aim down sights with this weapon to gain bonus mobility, handling, and charge rate for a short duration."
7Abide The Return
Poor Archetype
Salient Features
Abide The Return is an Adaptive Frame Sword that has Solar affinity. Swords are a weak spot in PvE and are rarely ever used in PvP to begin with. Even though Swords received a buff recently, they are still weak, and some better options exist over Abide The Return.
Abide The Return has some decent perk combinations, with perks like Turnabout and Relentless Strikes in the left column and perks like Attrition Orbs, Incandescent, and Whirlwind Blade in the right column.

Left Column Perks
Right Column Perks
Turnabout, Thresh, Relentless Strikes, Tireless Blade, Duelist’s Trance, Energy Transfer
Valiant Charge, Permeability, Attrition Orbs, En Garde, Incandescent, Whirlwind Blade
6Sleepless
Weak Perks
Sleepless is a High-Impact Frame Rocket Launcher that has Arc affinity. Rocket Launchers are extremely popular in PvE right now, especially in Season of the Wish thanks to the brand-new Artifact Mods.

Loot keys to loot more chests!
Sleepless, however, has extremely underwhelming perk combinations. In the left column, it has options like Field Prep and Auto-Loading Holster, while in the right column, it does not even have a damage perk, making it useless compared to other Rocket Launchers.
Wellspring, Ensemble, Slickdraw, Field Prep, Auto-Loading Holster, Tracking Module
Bipod, Attrition Orbs, High Ground, Permeability, Demolitionist, Chain Reaction
5Twilight Oath
Underwhelming Performance
Twilight Oath is a Rapid-Fire Sniper Rifle that has Solar affinity. Twilight Oath used to be fairly popular in The Crucible back in the Forsaken days, but in today’s sandbox it has been power crept thanks to the nerfs Rapid-Fires received.
For PvE, in the left column, we have perk options like Envious Assassin and Enlightened Action, while in the right column, we have damage perks like Precision Instrument, Vorpal Weapon, and Incandescent. For PvP, we have the classic perk combination of Snapshot Sights and Opening Shot.

Envious Assassin, Enlightened Action, Heal Clip, Killing Wind, Surplus, Opening Shot
Incandescent, Precision Instrument, High Ground, Kill Clip, Vorpal Weapon, Snapshot Sights

4Tigerspite
Most Satisfying
Tigerspite is a Precision Frame Auto-Rifle that has no elemental affinity. Tigerspite was fairly popular in both PvE and PvP and was considered by most as the best Auto-Rifle for The Crucible. With its reprisal, it has gotten even better.

3Waking Vigil
Jack Of All Trades
Waking Vigil is an Adaptive Frame ArcHand Cannonthat used to be a 150 rpm Hand Cannon but is now a 140 rpm. Waking Vigil has some interesting and viable perk combinations for both PvE and PvP, but has some poor stats value.
For PvE, Waking Vigil can roll with Voltshot, which can be used with perks like Outlaw, Perpetual Motion, and Shoot to Loot in the left column. For PvP, we have perk options like Perpetual Motion and Rapid Hit in the left column with Opening Shot and Kill Clip to complement it in the right column.

Collective Action, Attrition Orbs, Voltshot, Opening Shot, Dragonfly, Kill Clip
2Retold Tale
Best in The Crucible
Retold Tale is aPrecision Frame Shotgunthat has a Void affinity. Retold Tale used to be extremely popular in The Crucible and with the recent reprisal it has become even better and has some viable options for PvE too.
For PvE, we have the Void combo of Repulsor Brace and Destabilizing Rounds. Retold Tale can also roll with One-Two Punch, with which every player must have at least one Shotgun with this perk. For PvP, we have perk options like Well-Rounded, Slideshot, Quickdraw, Killing Wind, and Snapshot Sights.

Well Rounded, Loose Change, Repulsor Brace, Lead from Gold, Slideshot, Quickdraw
Destabilizing Rounds, Deconstruct, Barrel Constrictor, Killing Wind, One-Two Punch, Snapshot Sights
1Vouchsafe
Best At Everything
Vouchsafe is a Lightweight Frame Scout Rifle that has Void affinity. Vouchsafe used to be extremely popular for higher difficulty content and now, thanks to the new perks it received, it has become even better.
It also has the combination of Repulsor Brace and Destabilizing Rounds, which is amazing to have on a Scout Rifle. Other than that, we have perks like Stats for All, Outlaw, Fourth Time’s The Charm, and Rapid Hit in the left column with perk options of Golden Tricorn and Explosive Payload in the right column.
