A plethora of new anime series began airing back in July, and DanMachi, better known as ‘Is It Wrong To Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?’, was one of them. Just like all the other series, DanMachi came to an end in September. But, only the first part of Season 4 has concluded, and we are yet to see the second cour of the series.
Before Season 4 Episode 11 even aired, fans were eager to know when the release of cour 2 would be. After plenty of rumors, the release date for DanMachi Season 4 Part 2, has finally been confirmed, and here’s everything you need to know.

The news comes from theofficial website of DanMachi, confirming the release of the second part of the fourth season onJanuary 5th, 2023. The second cour is titled “DanMachi IV Deep Chapter: Calamity Arc,” and for Japanese fans, the show will air on ABEMA on the 5th, while on TOKYO MX and BS11, it will start airing on the 6th. For international fans, the series will be licensed byCrunchyroll.
The fourth season is booked for 22 episodes in total, and as the first part released 11 episodes, we are left with 12 more to enjoy. A new trailer was also released on the official YouTube channel ofWarner Bros. Japan Animeto commemorate the announcement alongside a key visual. Check out the new trailer below:
The key visual reveals the series' main character, Bell Cranel, alongside Ryu Lion. They both can be seen in a terrible state, covered in blood, and Bell is holding a knife in his hands. The text on the side reads the name of the series and the upcoming arc. Have a look at the key visual below.
As for the premise of DanMachi, the series is based in the fictional city of Orario, which is home to gloomy monsters and various adventurers that fight them in the Dungeon to increase their levels. The main protagonist of the show, Bell Cranel, is one of the adventurers who was once saved by an attractive swordswoman. Since then, he becomes determined to be the strongest of all and eventually date her.
