Cynthia: Hidden in the Moonshadowdrops the player into a world both rich with lore and filled with hidden collectibles. Combining both of these aspects are theNotes of the Unknown Chronicles, which are journal entries that explain both the world and the events that happened during Cynthia’s absence.

Each chapter has its own set of notes, but youcannot backtrack between chapters. In addition to that, some parts of a level may prevent you from going back to obtain notes you missed. This guide will help ensure you don’t miss any nuggets of lore hidden within Chapter 1.
All pages are in the order in which you are supposed to unlock them in this chapter. So,if you bring up the Notes of the Unknown Chronicles and find that you have skipped pages, you’ve missed a note and should go back if you’re able to.
Note 1 Location - First Campsite By Ladders
The first note can be found near the start of the game.Head to the campsite to the right of the ladders on the cliff, and you should find the note there.
Note 2 Location - Campsite Between Rocks
After you climb the ladders at the start of the game,head down the path to the right. You’ll find the second note at the campsite in between the rocks.
Note 3 Location - Cave
As you progress through the level,you’ll cross a bridge where you can trigger a short cutscenein which Cynthia reminisces about the past. Once you’ve made it to the other side, turn to the left.You should see two small planks leading you into a cave.The third note is hidden inside.
Note 4 Location - Campsite On Hilltop
You’ll find the fourth note in the area immediatelyafter the first puzzle, where you have to lower the drawbridge with your arrows. It’ll be located at the campsite on top of the hill.
Be sure you’ve collected all the notes up until this point as well as any other collectible you may find before progressing.Once you slide down the rope behind where the fourth note is located, you won’t be able to come back to parts of the level before that point.

Note 5 Location - Campsite Behind Glowing Switch
After you’ve slid down the rope to the area with the platforms located in the pond,head through the fenced path between the rocks. Behind the glowing switchis a path that leads down to the campsite with the fifth note.
Note 6 Location - Campsite Outside Fenced Path
After solving the platform puzzle in the pond, make your way to the second rope and slide to the bottom. From there, turn left andhead down the long, fenced path. You’ll eventually reach the campsite where the sixth note is located.
Note 7 Location - Enemy Priest Campsite
The seventh note can be found in the area where you first encounter the enemy priest.Either knock out the first enemy or sneak behind him, and then head in between the wooden walls behind his patrolling location.Here, you’ll find the campsite with the note inside.
Note 8 Location - Gate With Switches
The eighth and final note can be foundbehind the gate with two switches,where the box puzzle is located. Once you enter the gate, the final campsite will be to your right.
After you’ve collected the final note, flip back to the table of contents of the Notes of the Unknown Chronicles.If you’ve collected everything, you should see the note count for Tenesa Valley displayed as 8/8, meaning you have successfully collected all notes for this chapter.
