Coming off the release of theN. Sane Trilogy, Crash Bandicoot made his long-awaited return for a new generation with its remastered take on the series' first three games. Given the love that many had for the originalCrashgames, it was only a matter of time before we would end up seeing the bandicoot come back in a brand new game, andit’s about timewith the upcoming release ofCrash Bandicoot 4later this year.
During the latest State of Play presentation from Sony, a new">gameplay trailer forCrash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Timekicked off the showcase to give us a closer look at the upcomingCrashrevival. Picking up where the original PSone trilogy of games left off,Crash Bandicoot 4will return to the classic platforming style of the previous games with the visuals of theN. Sane Trilogy, along with a bunch of new features.

The gameplay trailer detailed that alongside playing as the bandicoot himself, players will also have the opportunity to take control of several of the series' other characters like Coco and Dr. Neo Cortex. The new trailer also revealed that Dingodile, who first made his appearance inCrash Bandicoot: Warpedas a boss, will also be a playable character and can swing his massive tail around a level. Players will also be able to unlock a variety of different skins and looks for each character as they progress throughout the game.
Along with the new look at its gameplay and characters, the latest trailer forCrash 4also shared some other features coming to the game for players that want a bit more of a challenge. Specifically, the game will feature “N. verted” stages that will entice players to replay levels with new effects. Aside from mirroring each level, the “N. verted” stages will offer new visual filters or features to increase the challenge, such as an old-fashioned film feature that makes the levels slightly faster, among others.
