Chainsaw Manhas gained massive popularity among anime lovers due to its unique plot and characters. Unlike other shonen protagonists, Tatsuki Fujimoto did not make Denji the strongest individual in theChainsaw Manuniverse. When the manga first landed, fans were eagerly waiting for it to be adapted into an anime.

The storytelling was also great, and overall it was a great transition from the manga to anime. When compared to other anime,Chainsaw Manwill come out to be a different one. MAPPA made sure that it did not turn out to be a chain of bright colors.
Apart from that, the animation studio also used a different color tone, which created a better impression. Shifting between ones to fours is quite contrasting, and it requires precision. Since it was done with the utmost care, it turned out to be an anime that they can appreciate even a couple of years after its release. It was risky to gamble on Tatsuki Fujimoto’s art style, but MAPPA’s experiment paid off.

While MAPPA changedTatsuki Fujimoto’s art style, the mangaka changed his art style in the manga. From chapter 152, the fans noticed significant changes in the art style ofChainsaw Man. His art style became more cluttered than it originally was. Fans did find it difficult to follow the manga panels, but still defended the mangaka, hoping that he had thought of something before taking such a step.
