However, Nayuta challenged his perspective. Later that night, he pondered whether it was permissible for him to strive for a life that surpassed the ordinary.
Denji, still awake, stumbled upon another speech by Haruka on TV. A concerned audience member questioned the church’s recruitment and collateral damage. Haruka assured them that the city and defense ministry were informed beforehand, recruiting only experienced hunters who followed Chainsaw Man’s selfless principles. Haruka offered them a chance to speak to Chainsaw Man themself. As Denji rushed to grab the phone, a random hunter claimed to be Chainsaw Man, leaving him shocked.
The man proceeded to tell his fake story, stating that he gained his powers through an encounter with the Justice Devil, fueling his mission to eradicate devils from the world. Denji’s frustration reached a boiling point after hearing these lies, and he expressed that his actions were never driven by the grand purpose that the fake Chainsaw Man claimed. Denji broke down in front of the TV, finding solace as Nayuta comforted him.
