FRIENDShas been responsible for several iconic trends in sitcoms. Being very witty with its humor and creating some very interesting dynamics and characters, the series excellently executed many things. None, however, have been as intriguing as its ability to create interesting side plots and never elaborate on them.

While several side stories have gotten entire episodes dedicated to them, there have been more than a handful that the series only mentioned and never further elaborated on. Be it the tales from Monica and Rachel’s teenage and college years, or Phoebe’s childhood, fans have become quite curious about the world that their beloved characters live in.
Due to this, when a discussion was started on spin-off shows that fans would like to watch, they could not help but mention these unexplored stories.

FRIENDSand Failed Successors
The world ofFRIENDSdoes not have the best track record with spin-off shows. Although there has only been one series to stem out of the parent show, its failure was haunting. While the original series did end in its tenth season, Joey’s story was notably incomplete, with him having no major arc, storyline, or even love interest. That was where the 2004 series,Joey, came into the equation.
On paper, the series had everything going for it. Coming off as one of the most successful sitcoms of all time.Matt LeBlancstarred as a beloved character from the series, trying to make it big in Hollywood. However, it would seem that after the original series ended, audiences had bid the world farewell and moved on.

The series did not do very well among fans and critics alike, and it began to collect dust, much like other forgotten spin-offs. Although LeBlanc’s series did not do very well, it does not mean that all shows from the world ofFRIENDSare doomed to meet a similar fate.
Recently, a conversation was started among fans of the series about spin-off shows they would be interested in seeing. The ideas that came through are truly impeccable.

The Spin-Offs That Fans Needed
In aRedditthread, fans began a discussion about what storylines from the world of FRIENDS would be perfect for a spin-off show. One fan started the conversation by proposing a series calledCentral Perk, following the day-to-day life of Gunther as a barista at the cafe. Audiences would get to see his interactions with several customers as they shared their stories with him. The original cast could also make some cameos here and there.
Another fan suggested a show that explored Phoebe’s childhood. Throughout the series, small pieces of information were dropped about how traumatic her childhood was. However, fans are still in the dark about most of her early years and what exactly happened to her. Exploring such a story would certainly gain a lot of attention from the fans.

One more fan added that there should be a separate show about all of the love interests in the series calledFriends to Enemies. They wished to see a series about a support group that specialized in being the past romantic interests of our beloved characters and the trauma that came with that.
Ideas ranging from Rachel’s college life to Monica and Chandler’s children and even Young Chandler’s life, fans had a lot of money-making pitches. It is safe to say that the series has some very creative fans who are looking for a lot of answers.
