AfterMarvelacquired Fox Studios, it also gained the rights to work with characters featured in Netflix original shows likeDaredevil,Iron Fist,Jessica Jones, andLuke Cage. WhenCharlie Coxwas asked about his character entering the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he had choice words to say on the matter since Marvel didn’t really include that tone and vibe in their projects. In an interview withDen of Geeks, Cox claimed,

Someone asked me the question earlier on today, about how would you take the Daredevil that we’ve met in the show and put him in an Avengers movie, and I understand that would be tricky because obviously you can’t bring the blood and guts that we’ve got to the cinematic universe.

The actor was familiar with the way the studio worked so he never expected a ruthless hero like Daredevil to find a place in the MCU along the likes of Captain America and Iron Man. However, he added,

But at the same time, if you read Civil War and you read New Avengers, Daredevil takes very much a back seat in those, and he’s just kind of on the periphery. He’s kind of brooding, and he adds a comment here and there, and give some advice.

In Civil War, he ends up being the device they use to bring the whole thing to a head. So, I hope that there would be a way of including him, and more kind of suggest at his nature, suggest what he’s capable of, without having to actually see it. But maybe I’m just being optimistic because I want to be in the movies, you know what I mean?

In the light of these comments, Cox is excited to finally be joining the MCU with his standalone show and eventually even work with the mighty Avengers. The actor is eager to keep playing Daredevilfor as long as he can and fans hope he might feature in the future projects.
