Riot shields are not inherently bad tools and can create exciting gameplay if implemented correctly.
The issue with Call of Duty, notably theModern Warfareseries, is that the riot shield became a troll weapon.
The gameplay in the series is fast-paced andmore military-oriented, which makes the shields a cheesy, out-of-place entry.

Although it is possible to make for good shield gameplay, judging by the public reaction, most of the futureCall of Duty: Black Ops 6player baseis happy to leave those to the cops. It is time for real secret agent warfare.
