What Happened Previously On Bungo Stray Dogs?
The Armed Detective Agency received an award, after which they were given a new case by the government, in which the victims were killed in a pattern that resembled the Decay of Angels, which Ranpo assumed was a message from the killers. Ranpo remembered Mushitaro’s warning and warned them against taking the case. However, Yukichi decided to take it anyway, which angered Ranpo.
Atsushi then receives a call from Sakaguchi, who informed him that the Decay of Angels might be related to the government and told him to tread carefully. Tonan then approached Atsushi to talk to him regarding the case, but he ran away, remembering Sakaguchi’s warning. Elsewhere, Dazai met Jono, and the latter struck up a conversation with him and later arrested him. Tonan immediately started his plan to destroy the Armed Detective Agency.
Nikolai took Tonan and the ministers as hostages and sent a video of them, and warned that he would kill them if the agency didn’t come on time. Ranpo went to find Taneda, whom he found severely injured, and the latter informed the former how Nikolai and his teammates were the ones to form Decay of Angels. He then revealed that they stole a page from the special book that would allow anything written on it to become a reality, and they plan to use it against the Armed Detective Agency.
Atsushi went to the building holding hostages, but he bumped into Nikolai, who stopped him by using his spatial ability. In the meantime, Kunikida and the others reached the location. Nikolai then handed a phone to Tonan and asked him to call for help. Just then, a hand was seen writing the events on a book page revealed to them by Taneda.
The chainsaw started killing the hostages, and as soon as the Agency members entered the room, they got transported to the culprits' spot, and Nikolai tied himself to the hostage chair as well and asked Tonan to call for help before being cut in half. The episode ended with Tonan calling the military and informing them that the Armed Detective Agency was the real culprit.
