As fans would remember, in the OG series, Sasuke had left Konohagakure in search of greater powers to kill his brother,Itachi Uchiha, and avenge his clan.

However, after the 4th Great Shinobi War concluded and he was forgiven by Kakashi Hatake, then Hokage of Konoha, he seemed to redeem himself and atone for his past sins. This compelled him to abandon his Sakura Haruno and Sarada Uchiha, his wife and daughter, which compelled him to give cameos in the show.
Even though there was a massive time gap of 15 years, which is ample time for atonement, he chose to live a life away from his family to the point he couldn’t recognize his daughter, Sarada Uchiha.
Likewise, Naruto Uzumaki had a similar faith, where he was so overwhelmed with his Hokage duties that he could not spend time with his family. Additionally, fans were criticizing how inNaruto: Shippuden,the character was seeking a loving family who would love him when he returned home.

Mikio Ikemoto’s contribution to the sequel series is nothing short of praiseworthy. Though our favorite characters rarely make an appearance, there’s no denying that the character designs featured in the show are minutely detailed and would catch your attention.
The mangaka, who has drawn a number of panels in the manga, has opened up about how he faces restrictions while working on the title of the show. During an exclusive interview withMangaPLUS, Ikemoto-San was asked about the creative process that goes into working on the manga panels. He said,
Because Boruto’s actions are pretty much predetermined in the storyline, there are many restrictions in his depictions. On the other hand, I have more freedom with other characters, so they are easier to depict.
He further added that the depiction must be true to the character’s personality, especially the protagonist’s, which again hinders him from using his creative freedom in the panels.

Additionally, he claimed that he must be extremely careful when he is drawing the interaction of Boruto Uzumaki with other characters of the show.

Nevertheless, it looks like Kishimoto-Sensei has kept Mikio Ikemoto under strict supervision, which, in one way or another, is affecting the show and the franchise’s legacy.
