With the previous episode of Boruto, the series commenced a new arc titled ‘Sasuke Retsuden’, which is originally a spin-off of Naruto. Sasuke has finally begun his journey to save his friend Naruto from the dreadful chakra-blocking illness, for which he formulates a proper plan to infiltrate the institute. But the mission is a life-risking one, as he soon learns that the institute is protected by powerful beings. Eventually, Kakashi manages to find the required documents.
Boruto Episode 282 Recap
The previous episode starts with Sasuke sitting in a restaurant where he overhears two women talking about a wedding ring. He continues his investigation on the victims of Kara and recalls Naruto’s illness which the Sage of Six Paths also suffered from. After looking through the records, he discovers that the Sage recovered after visiting the Astronomy Research Institute.
Redaku is portrayed in a terrible state as the country is suffering from famine, and the Prime Minister has taken over after the death of the king. Kakashi uses the opportunity to become the tutor to Prince Nanara and tries to gather more information by going through the records.
Sasuke decides to take the investigation into his own hands and infiltrates the prison, acting as a prisoner. Naruto tries to stop him, but he’s too weak. He tries to merge with other inmates who talk about their reason for being there, while some inmates try to harm him, but Sasuke easily tackles all of them. The prison’s director arrives on time and states that Sasuke did everything in self-defense. In the heat of the fight, one prisoner tries to escape, but soon he becomes food to a dragon named Meno, who guards the institute.
At first, Sasuke decides not to take the risk, but then he changes his mind and resolves to gather the intel. He plays a gambling game with the inmates and uses his ninjutsu to win the game. As a result of winning, he asks the prisoners to create a distraction while he infiltrates the place. While searching for the documents, he encounters Meno, and as a result of the fight, he injures the monster badly.
But Sasuke notices in the morning that Meno has no scars or wounds, and in the meantime, Zansul asks him about the attack and warns him of the increased surveillance. The episode ends with the Prime Minister announcing a war on other nations to deal with famine, while Kakashi is finally able to get his hands on the desired records.
