Vince McMahon, the co-founder of the modern WWE, faces accusations of sxual assault in a lawsuit. Janel Grant, a former WWE employee, filed a lawsuit against the company, including its founder McMahon and former head of talent relations John Laurinaitis—claiming sxual assault, trafficking, and emotional abuse.
Reports say that four women received almost $15 million to settle allegations of sxual misconduct by 77-year-old Mr. McMahon.The accusations include a reported $7.5 million settlement with McMahon, which claimed he coerced her into oral sx.
The 67-page lawsuit came months after McMahon returned as WWE’s chairman. Before, he had stepped down as CEO while being investigated for alleged misconduct by the board. Now, he serves as the executive chairman of WWE’s parent company, TKO.

Vince McMahon’s Spokesperson Denied Allegations
As of Thursday, June 23, 2025, a spokesperson on behalf of Vince McMahon made the following statement in response to the lawsuit:
“This lawsuit is replete with lies, obscene made-up instances that never occurred, and a vindictive distortion of the truth. He will vigorously defend himself.”
TKO, WWE’s parent company, toldVarietythe following:
“Mr McMahon does not control TKO nor does he oversee the day-to-day operations of WWE. While this matter predates our TKO executive team’s tenure at the company, we take Ms. Grant’s horrific allegations very seriously and are addressing this matter internally.”
McMahon plans to defend against the accusations, but TKO Group Holdings released a statement. They clarify that McMahon doesn’t handle WWE’s daily operations.
