After a close match, Team White managed to steal the win from Team Red and choose Chigiri as their fourth player. However, before joining their team, Chigiri told Kunigami that he would be waiting for him to defeat Isagi and take him back. With a team of four outstanding players prepared, Isagi confronted Rin Itoshi for another match.

What Happened Previously on Blue Lock?

Isagi, Nagi, and Barou discussed whom they should select for their team. Although they all recommended different players, everyone settled with Chigiri when Isagi stated how they wanted a balanced team to make the chemical reactions necessary to clear the Second Selection. Before joining their team, Chigiri told Kunigami that they both hadn’t defeated Isagi yet, and he would be waiting for him. Nagi confronted Reo and tried to console him, but Reo backlashed at him and stated that Nagi didn’t care about him anymore.

Nagi replied that even if they chose him, it wouldn’t be exciting, and he was past caring about him anymore. With this, Team White moved forward while Kunigami and Reo stayed behind. We then saw a flashback of Bachira’s childhood and his desire for a real friend with whom he could play soccer. In the present, Barou screamed for creating a mess in the room, and Isagi wondered how the team was going to work with so many self-centered people.

Blue Lock episode 20

Barou asked Isagi what type of soccer he wanted to play, and Isagi explained how he used his weapons in the game. The two get along pretty well, and on the other hand, Chigiri and Nagi also start sharing a good bond. Barou and Isagi returned, and to the former’s surprise, Chigiri and Nagi had created an even bigger mess. The scene cuts to Bachira and Rin, and the latter comments that he (Bachira) was afraid of fighting alone, and that’s why he was looking for someone to play soccer with.

The episode then cuts to Bachira’s past, where he was shown as an extraordinary player and played soccer with the monster inside him while looking for someone who understood him. Then he joined Blue Lock and finally found Isagi, whom he believed to be the one he was looking for. However, at present, Bachira was equally fascinated with Rin Itoshi as Isagi. At the end of the episode, Isagi met Bachira and Rin and asked the latter to play them again.
