When the PS5 Pro console launched, Bloober Team released aSilent Hill 2patch that applied enhanced features for Sony’s most powerful console on the market. Unfortunately, issues surfaced from that patch, and even a hotfix released soon after failed to address all the graphical problems.
Given it’s been months since we heard anything about it, most people might have assumed Bloober Team had forgotten about it, as the studio hasa new horror gameset for release later this year.

Silent Hill 2 PS5 Pro Issues Will Be Fixed By A Future Update By Bloober
Bloober Team has confirmed toEurogamerthat this patch that should fix the PS5 Pro issues is still in development. According to Bloober, “We’re working with the publisher on a solution and will share more details as soon as we have them.”
Unfortunately, no timetable has been given for when we can expect this update, so it may be released as soon as next month or perhaps sometime in the next few months.

For now, the base PS5 version is the better one to play given it doesn’t have the same performance issues as the PS5 Pro. Over on the game’s subreddit, players have talked about it as well with oneuserpointing out that Bloober’s “fix” for the PS5 Pro issue was just to take PSSR (PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution) out of Performance mode. Quality mode, is still broken unless you’re inside buildings and structures. Otherwise, playing outside in the fog-filled streets is a “flickery mess.”
