As the Blake Lively v. Justin Baldoni case progresses, more developments are being made every other way. As a result, the Internet has a hot topic of discussion at their disposal, and the netizens are divided into two groups. Justin Baldoni’s legal team is doing all it can to refute any and all allegations made by the actress in her lawsuit.

In the most recent update of the legal controversy, Blake Lively has once again been hit by a lawsuit, and this time it is by Jed Wallace and his crisis management firm, Street Relations Inc. As retaliation, her team has mocked the lawsuit, calling it yet another means of putting pressure on the actress for speaking against the alleged s*xual abuse. All of this comes after Blake Lively refused to give her deposition to Justin Baldoni’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman.
Blake Lively’s legal team hits back at another lawsuit
Things are getting messier and messier for Blake Lively and this just might be the understatement of the month. After Justin Baldoni and his team came out with his side of the story, along with receipts and anentire websitefull of evidence, Lively has been hit with yet another lawsuit.
This time the lawsuit comes from Jed Wallace and Street Relations Inc. Lively had named both parties in her December 2024 complaint for bad behavior. As perTMZ, Wallace is accusing Lively of pulling him and his company into the mess and allegations made against Baldoni and spreading the info out to media outlets like Elle magazine.

While she didn’t name either in the lawsuit filed days after, Wallace states that the damage had been done and that the media began reporting his apparent involvement in illegal activities.

He also added that Lively has asked a judge to authorize the taking of his deposition all while falsely accusing him of being TAG’s subcontractor to“assist them in their unlawful retaliatory social combat campaign” against the actress.
Talking to TMZ, Lively’s legal team stated that this lawsuit was nothing but a made-up story to pull the actress down. Her lawyers said,“Another day, another state, another nine-figure lawsuit seeking to sue Ms. Lively ‘into oblivion’ for speaking out against s*xual harassment and retaliation.” They added,

This is not just a publicity stunt — it is transparent retaliation in response to allegations contained within a s*xual harassment and retaliation complaint that Ms. Lively filed with the California Civil Rights Department. While this lawsuit will be dismissed, we are pleased that Mr. Wallace has finally emerged from the shadows, and that he too will be held accountable in federal court.
As for Wallace, a partner (Chip Babcock) in the Texas law firm (Jackson Walker LLP) representing him, has told TMZ that Lively made“false statements to the press…claiming Mr. Wallace and Street Relations had s*xually harassed her, retaliated against her, aided and abetted others who did the same, breached a contract with her and engaged in other improper conduct.“However, he adds that Wallace is a private person and hasn’t even met or spoken to Lively once let alone aid a smear campaign against her.

Has Blake Lively refused to give her deposition to Justin Baldoni’s lawyer?
Since Bryan Freedman is Baldoni’s lead attorney, it makes sense that he would be the one taking Lively’s deposition. However, the actress and her legal team once again surprised the world by stating that they did not want Freedman to take her deposition.
As perPEOPLE, a letter filed to Judge Lewis J. Liman on January 30 by Baldoni’s lawyer, Kevin Fritiz, states that Lively and Ryan Reynolds’ legal team has“stated their objection to the Wayfarer Parties’ lead counsel conducting the deposition of Blake Lively.”

Why? Well, no exact reason was given by the legal team and it was only mentioned that it was due to “unspecified statements made by Mr. Freedman.”What those statements may be, we do not know.
Fritz said,
Specifically, the Lively Parties’ counsel indicated that they object to Bryan J. Freedman, personally, taking Ms. Lively’s deposition, based upon unspecified statements made by Mr. Freedman.
He also added that the counsel for the Lively Parties has refused to elaborate on the “grounds of their objection.” Fritz clapped back at the request stating that he had never heard of a situation in which the deposed party would get to choose the attorney taking their deposition.
