Although Yuki Tabata isn’t known for killing off main characters, failing to do so would be a disservice to Lucius, who is widely regarded as one of anime’s greatest villains.

To truly showcase the threat he poses to our beloved heroes and cement his status as a formidable foe, the series demands a sacrificial lamb, and that lamb comes in the form of Jack. His ultimate sacrifice will undoubtedly elevate Lucius' character and leave fans on the edge of their seats, wondering who will be next to fall to this fearsome antagonist.

Black Clover Chapter 357 Spoilers: Jack Meets His Fate

Black Clover chapter 357, will start with Lucius and Yuno engaging in a fight where Lucius effortlessly blocks Yuno’s latest attack. Lucius asserts that his offensive and physical abilities have increased since acquiring Lucifero, which makes it impossible for Yuno’s strike to harm him. The attention in Black Clover chapter 357 later moves to Jack, Yami, and Morgen.

Jack ponders about his own mortality while a flashback shows him engaged in combat against Yami. During their fight, Jack considers the possibility of Yami taking his left eye if he were truly determined. Jack inquires about Yami’s actions during the battle.

During Jack’s recollection, Morgen enters the flashback and reminds Yami about their mission while reprimanding him for his lack of cooperation with other teams. Morgen’s comment alludes to the previous conflict between Jack and Yami, which Yami defends himself against by stating that he was not the one who instigated it.

A Green Mantis NPC also appears in the flashback and talks something about light and darkness and comments that both are mystical and elusive magic. The flashback ends with Jack commenting that he will slice both of them one day.

The focus then shifts to the present, where Yami tends to Jack, who then feels embarrassed. Meanwhile, Morgen declares, “With my light… I will send you to heaven.” Jack experiences a moment of introspection, reflecting on his past actions of destroying everything in his path, and decides to unleash one last colossal attack, giving it everything he has. Jack’s final strike creates a colossal fissure in the ground, surprising everyone, including Morgen.

After Jack’s massive attack, he asks Yami about his own previous strike, to which Yami responds, “It was quite a big deal.” Shortly after, Jack loses consciousness and feels remorseful for wishing to directly cut off Yami. The next panel shows Morgen, who expresses both sadness and joy at the prospect of more deaths occurring. Morgen believes that through death and rebirth, people can attain a better life together. At the end of the chapter, Morris decays Mereoleona’s arm during the battle between the two.
