WithThe Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, developer Virtuos and co-developer Bethesda not only overhauled the visuals, but the devs even adjusted the leveling system, added quality-of-life features and a lot more.

Apparently, they are not done improving the game. Bethesda is now seeking feedback from players on what improvements they want to see applied.

Bethesda Isn’t Done Honing Oblivion Remastered And Players Will Help Shape It

Bethesda has opened a thread on the official studioDiscord servertitled “Oblivion Suggestions.” While Bethesda devs and mods have repeatedly said that the thread should be for suggestions only, as the bug reports have a separate thread, the chat is littered with a mixture of both. There are literally thousands of messages to sift through right now.

Some of the suggestions do make a lot of sense. More than one player has suggested that the game should show an item’s weight and current total weight while looting, a marker to show when a player clears a dungeon on the world map (a feature added in Skyrim), inventory sub categories and more. One redditor posted a short list of things that are relatively easy to implement:

Another major addition many people are asking for is Photro Mode, which I was surprised wasn’t part of Remastered’s new features since almost every game these days has a Photo Mode of some sort.

When it comes to fixes, some of the most common things we’ve seen from players include fixing the single button press toggle to make it more intuitive and adjusting the game’s Adept difficulty to make it a bit more challenging since the discrepancy between Adept and Expert is a wide gap that’s off-putting.

More proof that execs have no clue what gamers actually want.

Take note that Bethesda won’t implement every suggestion made, or the developers would never be able to get any rest. Every player has something they want to change, so the developers need to assess which suggestions actually make sense.

Whatever these improvements are, these should be introduced to the game in the form of game updates. Perhaps we’ll get a roadmap of features to be added one day? Wishful thinking, but you never know.
