The actor reportedly directed his long-time friend Matt Damon and football/soccer legend David Beckham in a TV spot for the beer brand Stella Artois. The hilarious spot sees Damon play the long-lost American twin of Beckham (known as Dave). The ad was produced by Damon and Affleck’s production company Artist Equity.

The beer brand Stella Artois seemed to have the same idea when they approachedBen Affleckand Matt Damon’s production company Artist Equity. This year’s TV spot from the brand put their brand ambassador David Beckham along with Matt Damon, who is hilariously introduced as Beckham’s long-lost twin Dave.
Well, wherever there is Damon, there has to be his best friend and creative partner, Ben Affleck. While the ad was produced by the duo’s production company Artist Equity, Affleck reportedly directed the spot himself (viaLBB). So, he was the one who gave a pass to the jab at himself at the end of the spot.

Affleck last helmed the sports comedyAirwhich chronicled the collaboration between Michael Jordan and Nike to bring forth the Air Jordans. The actor-filmmaker has had a tough 2024 after a publicized separation fromhis ex-wife Jennifer Lopez. The actor will also be making a return to his favorite donut shop with the next ‘Dunkings’ ad with Jeremy Strong.

This year, the beer brandStella Artoischose to put entertainment at the top of the ask with their recent ‘David and Dave’ spot for the NFL big game. According to the brand, the ad was part of their ‘For Moments Worth More’ campaign and there is more to come.
