Baldur’s Gate 3
Should You Take Brand Of The Absolute
Yes, you should. The Absolute’s Brand lets you get activates some unique gear and opens up new dialogue options. Even ‘Good’ characters won’t face any long-term negative consequences for taking the Brand, as revealing it to NPCs later on is completely optional. If you don’t want to do it, the game won’t force you.
The only negative consequence you’ll face is that some of the companions will disagree with your decision and disapprove, lowering their approval slightly. However, this is not a big deal as approval can be gained back easily. If you want to avoid even this downside, you can approach Priestess Gut without the rest of your party, meaning no one will see you take the Brand, so no one will disagree.

If you decide not to take the Brand, no one will become hostile.
To get the Absolute’s Brand, all you need to do is agree to Priestess Gut’s offer to brand youin front of the other Goblins in the Shattered Sanctum (Goblin Camp). If you agree, Gut will brand you with the Mark of the Absolute on your hand and invite you back to her private chambers.

After the Priestess brands someone, she will immediately leave for her private chambers. If you want to get the Absolute’s Brand on multiple characters, talk to Warlock Greez, the goblin standing behind the Priestess, and he’ll brand other party members if you want him to.
If you want tokill Priestess Gutwithout alerting the other Goblins, cast Silence where she is standing and attack her till she dies. No sound will escape her private chambers, and no one will know.
