Don’t let the curse deter you from exploring the ruins of Reithwin Town, Moonrise Towers, and the Ruined Battlefield. Some puzzles are hidden in plain sight, like the Plaque Puzzle in the cursed Reithwin Town.

How To Solve Reithwin Town’s Plaque Puzzle

The plaque puzzle is disguised at the base of a statue directly north ofthe Moonrise Towers Waypoint. Be wary of thehidden Shadow-Cursed Harpers and Wraithswaiting to attack you. You’ll need to beat them in a fight before you can get close to the statue, which may be tricky withyour moon lanternin hand. At first glance, this statue just looks like a normal monument, but if you inspect the plaques along the base of the statue, you’ll notice there are letters missing. You’ll need tosucceed a passive Perception checkto notice the plaques, but it’s likely someone in your party will even if you don’t. Each plaque has an inscription.Place one of your party members by each plaque and read them in this order:

The message revealed reads"Our lady of loss, mistress of pain, when night falls Thorm shall rise.“A secret door should open up on the side of the base that doesn’t have a plaque. Now, you can head down into a secret Sharran Sanctuary.

Hidden Sharran Sanctuary Rewards

It’s a good idea tobring Shadowheart alongfor this bit to hear some interesting lore and her thoughts onher goddess, Shar. Head down the stairs and feel free to put away your moon lantern, asthe shadow cursedoesn’t reach into the sanctuary. Approach the statue of Shar holding two blades andsucceed an Intelligence saving throw.Pass, and you’ll get a +5 to your Intelligence until your next long rest.Inspect each statue and pass their corresponding saving throwsto get a +5 to your Wisdom and a +5 to your Charisma. Passing these checkswill give Shadowheart inspiration.

If you’ve passed all three checks, a secret door will open an arch in the chamber.Examine the altar and pass a Religion checkto carry out a Sharran ritual forscrolls, potions, and elixirs:

You may be tempted tograb the Ritual Dagger of Sharfor yourself. Doing so will trigger a fight with three formidableSharran Sentinels, each corresponding to one of the statues: Wisdom, Charisma, and Intelligence. The sentinels are not particularly challenging to take out, so the Ritual Dagger of Shar is yours if you’re willing to take it.
