What Is The Tongue Of Madness?
The Tongue of Madness is an alchemical ingredient. Its in-game description reads “This long, slender mushroom is named both for its resemblance to an oversized human tongue and the effect it has on that organ when consumed.“You may want to find the item in order to craft the Sublimate of Tongue of Madness, which is a required ingredient in making the Tadpole Elixir.The Tadpole Elixir grants Psionic Weakening and Psionic Enrichment. This will allow you to gain an advantage on any attack for three rounds after usingIllithid Powers.
How To Buy The Tongue Of Madness
You can purchase the Tongue of Madness ingredient from two different merchants in the Underdark. Thankfully, both merchants are located in the Myconid Colony.
Additionally, both merchants have side quests. Omeluum wants you tohelp him investigate your parasite, and Derryth wants you tosave her husband.
How To Find The Tongue Of Madness
The Tongue of Madness is located in the basement of the Arcane Tower in the Underdark duringAct 1.If you want toenter the Arcane Tower, you will need todisable the Arcane Turretsthat are guarding the place. You will then want to get theArcane Tower’s elevator working. Once you have done that, you will find the Tongue of Madness in the lower part of the tower.
Make sure you look around the area before leaving with the Tongue of Madness. The Arcane Tower has a lot of loot.
