Why Did Eren Yeager Sacrifice His Life?

In a world infested with Titans, Eren’s only dream was to experience what Freedom felt like. However, with the power of the Titans bestowed upon him, Eren realized that true freedom for his friends and the world was only possible if a world without the Titans was somehow created, and that thing demanded Eren’s sacrifice.

Without thinking of his own life, Eren plotted the whole Rumbling and created a scenario where his friends were left with no choice but to kill him while also freeing Ymir from her obsession with King Fritz, motivating her to give up her Titan powers. Eren’s sacrifice made his friends a hero of humanity, and while the battles and wars still took place in the world, a far better life was bestowed upon them with the extension of the Titans.
