From a bird-eye view, Isla looks like a solid character whofocuses on stunning enemies. While they’re stunned, you canreduce their defense or get more damage bonus.
However, her kitfeels underwhelming when you’re fighting against the bosses.Sure, some items help her self-sustain in the long run, but the stun isn’t always guaranteed.
If you somehow manage to stun enemies, you need to perform another attack to benefit fromextra effects like reduced defense and extended stuns. In my opinion, she felt like the most underwhelming character at the maximum investment.
However, if you’re against single-target enemies who aren’t aggressive in their attacks, Isla can help you.Stunning enemies gives you a brief time to reset and rethink the strategy.You can use a few healing or support items and continue your barrage of attacks with this time too.

Nina is quite a versatile character, unlike other characters whose kits focus on a combination of buffs and offensive attacks. Nina is asheer damage dealer who scales off the speed stat.
There are plenty of equipment and items that help you chain multiple attacks and provide a buff to your attacks. That’s what helps Nina do insane damage. What I like the most about her isthe speed at which she attacks.
It’s easier toevade attacks while playing with her, and you can chip down an enemy’s HP pretty quickly. However, that’s really the only thing she excels at. There are noparty bonuses or buffsthat are in her kit.
You do have aminor cooldown reduction bonus to one of her skills,but that’s about it. Still, she’s not bad at all. If you’re looking for a dedicated damage dealer for your team, Nina should be the prime choice.

Living On The Edge

Inflicts wounds on target in proportion to the amount of HP consumed when using skills that consume HP
Survival Skills
Reduces damage taken when your HP is at 50% or below.
I like Nina’s evasive playstyle, but Isla and Rutger feel a bit risky. Rutger seems even more risky, becausehis skills consume HP, and sometimes, even a sliver of HP matters in a crucial battle.
You have to be very careful while playing him on the field. Most of his skills consume HP on activation, and onlyVampirize restores HP in proportion to the damage dealt.If you’re not good at dodging enemies' attacks, Rutger will perish.
However, the higher the risk, the better the reward. You can severely damage bosses if you’re skilled with a well-timed dodge andevading enemies' attacks.
Thelower your HP is, the higher the damage Rutger dishes out. The cooldown on his skills is minimal, and with a good build, you can obliterate enemies.
Jack Of All
Wellek’s Secret Skill
Consumes a portion of environmental mana to add one stack of throwing daggers when swapping between items and skill slots
Spiritual Focus
Increases environmental mana gain when environmental mana is at 50% or below
Determined Duty
Increases maximum throwing dagger stack to 5
Unlike other characters, who are offensive in nature, Lenja has asupport-like vibe to her kit.Her skills focus onenvironmental mana and skill/item cooldown reduction.
All of these perks are exceptionally valuable when you’re relying on skills to defeat enemies. You canchain multiple items andskills togetherto slay enemies.However, I personally feel that she’s a bit slow with her attacks.
She requires some investment to balance the skills since she provides multiple buffs to different attributes.
Usually, I equip items that have theDamage absorption attribute to benefit from HP recovery on hits. That helps to increase Lenja’s on-field time and benefit more from her skills and passives.

Sometimes,the main characterisn’t always the strongest in games, especially in games withmultiple characters in the roster. However,Atelier Yumiais something different.
Yumia is a very strong character whoseskills reduce enemies' defense, boost attacks, and reduce item and skill cooldowns. Not only are her skills cracked to begin with, but her passives are also a cherry on top.
You get moremana flow using skill and mana restoration while using the Maximized mana surge. Whichever skills you prefer, whether it’s inner range or outer range, all of them benefit your cooldowns.
Once properly built, Yumia won’t let you down. I highly suggest using offensive and damage absorption items on her, especially in the easy mode, where you’re unfamiliar with combat mechanics.
A Damage Sponge
Has a chance to add one pile when using a skill in the inner range. When using a skill in the outer range, consume one pile instead of using up a skill use.
Boastful Endurance
Boosts attack in proportion to maximum HP
I know how powerful Yumia is, but Viktor is simply insane. It’s crazy how muchsustain his kit has and how he can randomly reduce enemies' stats and heal himself.
Themore tanky he is, the higher his attack is. Viktor was the only one in my playthrough with the lowest death count. In most Boss encounters, he’s a tank thattakes enemies' aggroand focuses on physical damage.
You can playaggressively in the inner range, while his outer range skills help you to recover and apply debuffs to enemies.
What’s better is that his skills rely on his health, so if you wanta character who can tankenemies' powerful attacks, Viktor is the best choice. I highly recommend bringing Viktor tothe first partywhile initiating Boss Encounters.
He’ll soak incoming damage like a sponge and obliterate his enemies with the Helios Judgement.
