Ana de Armas is all set to star in Ron Howard’s survival thrillerEden. While the film has been receiving mixed reviews since its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, its main appeal seems to be the synergy of de Armas, Sydney Sweeney, and Vanessa Kirby.

The three actresses have been extremely popular in the past few years and have established themselves as the ‘it’ girls of Hollywood. Ana de Armas even teased her character would have a ‘crazy threesome relationship’ in the upcoming film, which will definitely get fans into the cinemas.
Ana de Armas Teased A ‘Crazy Threesome’ In Upcoming FilmEden
Ana de Armashas had a slow couple of years in the movies. After mesmerizing audiences in films likeBlade Runner 2049, Knives Out,andNo Time To Die, the actress featured in multiple straight-to-streaming films such asDeep Water, The Gray Man, Blonde, andGhosted, all of which received mixed to negative reviews.
De Armas will now appear in Ron Howard’s survival thrillerEden. Based on real events in the Galapagos Islands, Ana de Armas plays Eloise Bosquet de Wagner Wehrhorn a.k.a The Baroness. The film also features Jude Law and Daniel Brühl, but the highlight is the coming together of de Armas, Sydney Sweeney, and Vanessa Kirby.

The actress described the film and her character as extremely ‘out there’ and was reportedly worried initially about how far the character could go. Armed with two lovers and a plan to make a luxury hotel in the newly found Florean Islands, Ana de Armas’ character becomes a hindrance for Jude Law and Kirby in the film. She said toVanity Fair,
Having this crazy threesome relationship, and being a woman of opposites—either she’s sweet and tender and fragile and nervous and scared, or she’s absolutely crazy and dangerous. It was kind of finding that limit: What was the craziest I could get? How far could I go?

The actress also mentioned that she received a lot of support from director Ron Howard and mentioned how she kept pushing the boundaries of what the character could do. Howard called her a risk-taker.

Eden: Sydney Sweeney, Vanessa Kirby, Ana de Armas Star in Survival Thriller That Will Either Break Bank or Dreams
Sydney Sweeney’sMargaret Wittmer and Ana de Armas’ The Baroness, along with Kirby’s Dora Ritter form the Holy Trinity, who fight for control over the newly found island. Though Howard knew there were conflicting accounts of the islands, he said to VF that the real stories of the three women trying to conquer the land were his guiding light. He said,
Audiences can relate to somebody making that kind of desperate attempt to just leave it behind and create a better life for themselves. But so many decades ago, to have three women defining themselves through this kind of gauntlet, taking charge and asserting themselves in really powerful ways—whether diabolical or noble or tragic—that was something that was even more rare.

The synergy of the three actresses is also one of the highlights of the film, as all three have gained global stardom in the recent past and have proved themselves as capable artists.
Edenpremiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 7 and is yet to have a release date.
