Dragon Ball Superwasn’t originally in Akira Toriyama’s blueprint when he wrote the first chapter back in 1984. In fact, any arc after the first one wasn’t envisioned in his mind at all. The idea forDragon Ball Supercame from Toei Animation and Toriyama just joined the bandwagon, seeing how he needs to pull up the franchise’s name afterDragon Ball Evolutiontarnished it.

The sequel has received quite a mixed bag of reviews. Some fans appreciated what it brought to the table, while others shrugged it off as a meaningless cash grab. However, the Tournament of Power got more fans invested in it, especially after Goku unleashed his Ultra Instinct. The whole world cheered on for Universe 7 as Goku pulled off one of the coldest Kamehamehas ever.
How Goku defeated Kefla inDragon Ball Super
Everyone remembers the first time Goku unleashed Ultra Instinct against Jiren but Goku’s transformation against Kefla is pretty underrated in its own right. Keep in mind that Kefla’s power surpassed that of the Spirit Bomb, which nearly killed Goku and pushed him beyond his limits.
When she turned into a Super Saiyan 2, Kefla believed her power could destroy a whole universe, akin to the clash between Beerus and Super Saiyan God Goku inDragon Ball Super‘s first arc. Piccolo also speculates that Kefla’s Super Saiyan 2 power surpassed Goku’s previous use of Ultra Instinct Sign that was used against Jiren.

However, Goku gains further control over the form, being able to freely exert his energy and talk normally, telling Kefla she cannot beat him anymore. Goku’s body began moving on its own, constantly dodging Kefla’s attacks. When Kefla launches her final energy beam, observing that Goku cannot evade it in mid-air. However, Goku skates on top of it with his Kamehameha, catching Kefla off guard and firing the attack, sending the fused Saiyan crashing into the ring and falling out of bounds.
Which one is Goku’s most iconic Kamehameha?
As much as fans love to discreditDragon Ball Super, there’s no doubt that Goku’s Kamehameha against Kefla surpasses every other Kamehameha in the franchise. The disrespect was so much that Goku landing on Nappa’s head seemed like a fly in comparison.

That moment, along with Episodes 110 and 130, broke the internet for a week. Fans couldn’t stop talking about it. Even skeptics began to change their minds aboutDragon Ball Superand couldn’t deny the impact it had around the world.
Sure, there are a bunch of pretty memorable Kamehameha moments in the series. There’s Master Roshi’s Kamehameha that fans witnessed for the first time that destroyed the Ox King’s castle. There’s also Goku’s Kamehameha which clashed with Vegeta’s Gallick Gun will always be iconic. Not to mention the instant Kamehameha and the father-son Kamehameha. Every one of them was enthralling the next one.

However, Goku’s attack against Kefla was not only hype but utterly disrespectful towards the opponent, especially when she unleashed a Ki attack that could wipe out the whole Null Realm. The execution in the anime by showing the attack 3 times before sending Kefla to the stands was just the cherry on top.
Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z,Dragon Ball Super, and Dragon Ball DAIMAare all available to watch on Crunchyroll.
