The world ofMy Hero Academiais packed with characters having extraordinary abilities known as Quirks. These superpowers range from mundane to extraordinary, shaping the series’ exploration of heroism and society. However, among those, there are a huge number of characters introduced in manga and anime, where several stand out for their potent abilities.

These 5 ridiculously overpowered characters whose Quirks demonstrate immense power and versatility, yet their roles remain surprisingly limited inMy Hero Academia. Their abilities seek to be seen as having untapped potential within Kohei Horikoshi’s universe and consider how they could have altered the course of the narrative.
5Stain – The Hero Killer
Stain possesses the Quirk Bloodcurdle, which allows him to paralyze anyone by ingesting their blood. His ability, combined with exceptional combat skills and his firm ideology, makes him a formidable character inMy Hero Academia.
Shonen Jump’s List of Profitable Manga Proves that My Hero Academia’s Ending Wouldn’t Hit as Hard as Fans Assumed
Even though Stain’s impact on the hero society was significant, his direct involvement in the storyline was short-lived.Kohei Horikoshicould have given more aspects to Stain as he influenced both heroes and villains and could have used him as a recurring anti-hero figure.
4Tamaki Amajiki – The Suneater
Tamaki’s Manifest Quirk gives him the ability to transform parts of his body, some kind of Chimera, into anything he’s eaten. His power provides a nearly limitless potential for adaptation in combat and rescue situations.
Being a member of the “Big Three” with Mirio Togata and Nejire Hado at the U.A., Tamaki’s appearance and contributions to major battles are relatively limited. If he is given the full extent of his abilities he might become a powerful Chimera, leaving viewers to wonder about his true power.

3Inasa Yoarashi – The Gale Force
Inasa possesses the Quirk Whirlwind, giving him the ability to control the wind with incredible precision and power. He has the potential to rival the top pro heroes, as shown during the provisional license exam where he outperformed many U.A. students.
It was sad to see his role in the series diminishing after his initial appearance and backstory revelations. His absence from major story arcs and battles is a missed chance to prove his rare skillset and passionate personality.

2Thirteen – The Space Hero
Thirteen or Anan Kurose’s Quirk, Black Hole, is incredibly powerful. It allows her to create vortexes that can suck in and disintegrate matter to dust, it says even light can’t escape from it. Her ability has much potential for combat situations.
Even if she has the power to destroy everything, Thirteen’s role in the series still remains limited. She appeared mainly as a teacher and a rescue hero, and her combat ability is rarely shown. The creator could have given more applications of Black Hole in critical battle scenarios.

Eri was found more dormant after Shie Hassaikai Arc inMy Hero Academia. She has a Rewind Quirk that possesses reality-altering potential. It gives her the ability to reverse a person’s physical state from healing injuries to reversing age or even death with further implications.

While she plays a crucial role in certain of the above-mentioned arcs. the full extent of her powers remains unseen. Applications of Rewind could have been a major aspect in reshaping the entire hero society. Horikoshi’s decision to keep Eri in the series’ shadow feels odd for the nature of the Quirks she has.
My Hero Academiais currently available to watch on Crunchyroll.
