In a short video, Atlus, Vanillaware, and Sega revealed new information regarding13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim.
First off, Vanillaware announced a new13 Sentinels: Aegis Rimdemo will be published this October. It’ll let you play for around three hours, and you’ll be able to transfer your save to the full game. Atlus Producer Yamamoto Akiyasu said those who think the game isn’t worth it because it isn’t an action game will definitely be charmed with the demo.
Next, Vanillware announced that a DLC code for a PS4 port of Princess Crownwill be included in preorders of13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim.
Princess Crownfirst released on Saturn in 1997 and was developed by Vanillaware’s staff, with George Kamitani leading the team, back when they were still at Atlus and Vanillaware itself didn’t exist yet.Princess Crownis basically the first Vanillware game following the 2D scrolling + action RPG /multiple protagonists combo they do in almost all their games now. Vanillaware also noted this is a PS4 port of the 2005-released PSP port ofPrincess Crown.
Note thatPrincess Crownwill only be available in “Winter”.You won’t be able to download the game immediately when13 Sentinelslaunches on November 28.
Princess Crownwas never released outside Japan. Maybe it will get a localization through this PS4 port if this bonus comes around in13 Sentinels’western release.
Next, preorders of13 Sentinels: Aegis Rimwill also include a DLC code for a PS4 theme. It’s a different one that the PS4 themes found in the Amazon shop specific preorder bonus, in the PS Store shop specific preorder bonus, and in the game’sLimited Edition.
This PS4 theme shows one of the 13 protagonists, Iori Fujisaka (voiced by Atsumi Tanezaki) in her Sentinel, naked, as that’s how all the protagonists are when piloting.
George Kamitani drew the illustration. Producer Yamamoto Akiyasu mentioned on stream how the last time they showed a new illustration Kamitani did for the game, which isn’t in the game itself, was the new year 2013 illustration. That one was published before the game itself was revealed.
Preorders of13 Sentinels: Aegis Rimwill also include a lottery ticket to participate in a talk show event that will be held on March 2020 in Tokyo. The talk event will feature13 Sentinels: Aegis Rimstaff and cast members as guests. 130 people will be able to attend in total. It’s an event geared for those who will have 100% cleared13 Sentinelsand solved all its secrets.
Lastly, preorders will include a DLC code for the13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim Digital Archive.As seen above, it lets you check various things from the main game, such as the different animations for each character.
Needless to say, those who already preordered the game will get everything that was announced today.
