To any die-hard retro video game collector, a price tag is the last thing they’ll usually consider. They focus around finding a unique (typically rare) item to build their collection. But fromsought-out video gamesto impressive gaming set-ups, there is one factor in collecting in the gaming community that many seek out: video game consoles.

However, these desired consoles aren’t just your average gaming device. These consoles feature a vast catalog of features, such as different colors and skins that make them stand out. Some of them were even bundles while promoting a game’s release. But, all of these consoles would only have a limited run, making them harder to find at an affordable price. Overall, these systems are now stuck in the realm of being rare.
10Pink PS2 Slim
Upon its release, this gorgeous pink PlayStation 2 Slim was created for Sony’s female audience. But, as time has passed, this limited-edition console has become a gem for everyone in the PlayStation collecting community.
With the number of listings from resellers, it seems that you’ll have much better luck finding it without the controllers. However, when it comes to finding the entire bundle in excellent condition, it makes getting your hands on one much more expensive. Even though it looks like a standard PS2 Slim, the pink exterior makes it a perfect addition to an aesthetically pleasing gaming setup.
9Spider-Man PS4 Slim
While still pretty expensive, theSpider-ManPS4 Pro bundle is common. On the other hand, its slim version is the one that collectors have difficulty finding. Beautiful and resembling the PS4 Pro, the Slim only had a release in Europe.
This is a console you’ll have to dig for among others that look identical. Besides being the cheaper alternative, there are very few differences between them. In the end, this PS4 is an excellent option for those who want the iconic Spider-Man logo engrained on their PlayStation but want to avoid paying a high price.
8Biohazard 5 PS3 Bundle
While it’s not hard to get your hands on a PS3 copy of Biohazard 5, the limited-release console bundle sure is. Being known as theResident Evil 5PS3 bundle outside of Japan, this console isn’t outrageously expensive. At the same time, however, it’s not cheap either.
This console is an excellent addition for Resident Evil fans. Only released in Japan, this bundle included a standard black PS3 with two controllers, along with a disc for Biohazard 5. Resellers make good money on one that’s brand new. There are few results for this console, which makes getting one feel exclusive.
7Minecraft PS Vita Slim Bundle
Coming across theMinecraftPS Vita Slim is unlikely. Finding the original bundle is even more challenging. The bundle was advertised as including a PS Vita copy of Minecraft and a customized Minecraft PS Vita Slim. On top of this, it also had a unique Minecraft console sleeve.
There are few listings and results when you look up this console. Resellers tend to typically sell this Minecraft console and its game together, but it isn’t easy to find the console sleeve that came with it. Perseverance is the key to finding this one-of-a-kind Minecraft bundle.
6God Of War: Chains Of Olympus PSP
ThisGod of WarPSP bundle is obscure, as it’s difficult to get your hands on. Plastered with Kratos' face on the back, this console was one of two red PSPs to be released in North America. Combining Chains of Olympus with a brand-new PSP also excited fans of the series.

It’s difficult to find this console for sale in great condition, let alone being able to find the entire bundle. Besides including a copy of Chains of Olympus, it also had a voucher to downloadSyphon Filter: Combat Ops. Not to mention how, funny enough, the film Superbad was also included.
5Final Fantasy Cloud PS3
Sony’s collaboration with Square Enix to celebrate the re-release of theFinal Fantasy VIIfilm, Advent Children, was terrific. Sony created a console with Cloud’s iconic Strife Wolf emblem encased on a black PS3 to honor the film’s release.
The console’s release had a copy of the film on top of a demo forFinal Fantasy XIII. There was never a release outside of Japan, but thanks to resellers, you can easily find it online. On top of this, it isn’t out-of-this-world expensive. Ultimately, this Cloud-centric PS3 is magical forany Final Fantasy fan.
4Hatsune Miku PS Vita Bundle
Being a perfect addition for anyHatsune Mikufan, the limited edition Hatsune Miku PS Vita was an incredible product to release. The bundle gave players a reason to play Project Diva F and have the chance to get a one-of-a-kind console.
However, adding it to your collection isn’t the cheapest thing to do. This isn’t a surprise, as a beautiful white PS Vita with an iconic Vocaloid idol on the back is appealing. Because of how popular Hatsune Miku has become over the years, there’s no doubt that hundreds search the internet to get their hands on this rare console.
3Kingdom Hearts 15th Anniversary PS4 Slim
Sony outdid themselves with this PlayStation console. It featured an exterior that perfectly encapsulated the feeling ofKingdom Heartswith a simple illustration. The console also had a custom PS4 theme forKingdom Hearts 2.8.
The Kingdom Hearts 15th Anniversary PlayStation was a thank-you from Square Enix. They wanted to celebrate all the beautiful years the series gave fans. Getting your hands on one is tricky since it was such a limited event, but overall, if you’re an avid fan of Kingdom Hearts, this rare console is more than worth your money.
2Hitman Collector’s Edition Briefcase PS4
Collector’s edition is a fitting characteristic for this rare console. The release of this PS4 was a one-of-a-kind experience. It is also considered one of the rarest PS4 consoles. As a way to celebrate the announcement for the sixth installment in theHitmanseries, only one version of this PS4 exists.

This console looked like a briefcase and was unique in how the case was attached. Originally supposed to go to the winner of a raffle from Square Enix, there was no winner because of technical issues. This PS4 was later bought in 2020 at a Hitman-themed auction.
110 Million Edition PS1 Console
Little to no information can be found on this extremely rarePlayStation 1 console. Reportedly, only 100 versions of this PS1 were manufactured. Sony created it to celebrate 10 million consoles sold to fans worldwide. The console is known to be beyond legendary for how rare it is.
It’s impossible to find one for sale anywhere online, as they were supposedly given to Sony employees or sent out as prizes. Because of this, it’s doubtful it will be for sale one day. Many PlayStation collectors hold onto the hope of getting their hands on this rare celebratory console.
