Kojiro Shinomiya holds the distinction of being the first Japanese chef to open a 3-star restaurant in France. Unfortunately, he has experienced discrimination in the French Culinary World, which has made him a stickler for perfection. If you work under him, expect to strive for excellence.
He’s a traditionalist who values the importance of a chef’s skills and experience above all else when creating a perfect dish. This sometimes puts him at odds with Soma Yukihira, who encourages student input and constructive criticism. Nonetheless, Kojiro’s expertise is unparalleled, and he is determined to impart his culinary wisdom to the next generation of chefs.
7Ozen – Made In Abyss
Revered as the “Immovable Sovereign,” Ozen is probably the strongest among the White Whistles inMade In Abyss. She’s also able to resist the Abyss’s seductive pull, something that other explorers like Bondrewd struggle with. After 50 years of exploring the abyss, she’s seen its cruel side and doesn’t hesitate to give her students a reality check.
In fact, she scared the living daylights out of Riko and Reg when they first met her to test if they were up for the challenges ahead. In the broader spectrum of anime mentors, Ozen’s brutal honesty makes her one of the realest characters out there.

Reigen fromMob Psycho 100may be a fraud, but he knows his responsibilities as an adult. Having experienced various facets of society, he’s pragmatic about life. Even during the fight against Claw’s 7th division, Reigen scolded the megalomaniac enemies for acting like infants.

3Izumi Curtis – Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
The iron-willed woman of Fullmetal Alchemist rightfully claims a top spot for making the Elric brothers one of the mostbeloved anime duosof all time. Since their mother’s passing, Izumi has been watching over them as both a mother and a mentor.
She appears to be a simple housewife who runs a meat shop with her husband, but her skills and abilities in alchemy are enough to make even Edward quiver. However, above all, she empathizes with the Elrics, having experienced a botched transmutation herself years ago. Izumi firmly believes that every action comes with a price to pay.
